Survival (Spain)

Goldie kept trying to sleep, but passing cars would keep scaring her awake.

(Sure)

Carrie drifted off into sleep.

(Short time skip?)

Goldie closed her eyes and tried to fall asleep, still heavily trembling from shock and bloodloss, staying curled tightly.

She closed her eyes.

Goldie sighed softly and winced as she tried to get comfortable.

She didn’t say anything but didn’t move.

She laid her head on her paws and she sighed, "You can, we both know I won't be able to get away from those humans if they come around" She murmured.

She sighed, laying down. “I’m hardly going to leave you to die.”

"You don't need to stay" She sighed, her ears back.

She looked away.

"Every time you try to leave, something happens to me and you come back" She sighed, her ears drooped back.

She frowned. “What do you mean?”

"I feel like I'm making you stay" She sighed, her ears staying back.

“For what?” She asked, puzzled.

Goldie sighed as she laid there, her head on her paws, "Sorry" She sighed, her ears back.

Carrie sat down at the entrance to the box and peered in at Goldie.

Once in a safer spot, Goldie crawled into a fairly large box and she curled up, whimpering softly.

She didn’t leave, helping the other slowly limp to an alleyway.

"I'm fine... Go before you catch my bad luck..." She said quietly, but leaned slightly against the other, her ears drooped.

She pressed herself against her uninjured side, trying to help.

"It isn't safe here" She whimpered, shakily standing and trying to get back to the alley for safety.

“But if it doesn’t stop for a while, you might lose too much blood,” she protested.

"It'll stop eventually..." She said quietly, flinching when any car passed them.
