Survival (Spain)

Carrie pinned her ears back. “I don’t know how to stop the bleeding.”

Goldie stayed curled up under the bench and she trembled heavily, her ears pinned back, "I've never had this much bad luck" She whined, shaking heavily, her side bleeding pretty badly.

Carrie jumped a little and bristled when she saw Goldie get hit by a car. She couldn’t help it, she ran to help the other dog.

Goldie yipped as she got tangled between humans, running before coming to an abrupt stop, a car striking her as she stepped out onto the road, she tumbled back and laid whimpering, she wasn't hit hard, but enough that she had a nasty cut from her shoulder to her hip on het left side, humans ignored her as she struggled to stand, dragging herself to a bench and hiding under it, licking at her cuts.

The German Shepherd turned to watch her go, a frown curling at the edges of her muzzle.

The border collie walked out of the alleyway, her ears back, jerking and backing off as she walked into a crowd, her head lowering and whimpering softly, trying to make her way through the crowd, her tail tucked.

She didn’t respond, fur still bristling angrily.

"Fine, I'll just leave" She growled lightly before trying to speed up and limp ahead of the other.

She didn’t respond or slow down even as she heard Goldie start struggling to keep up.

She continued to follow her, limping heavily and starting to pant heavily, "Exactly, that's what made me mad" She grunted at the other.

She bristled at having her own words thrown back in her face and just stomped onward.

"What do I owe you" She asked flatly, "Like you said, everyone out here doesn't do anything without wanting something in return" She repeated the other female's statement.

She gave a sidelong glance to the other dog. “I wasn’t just going to let someone get captured by the dog catchers. Even if I hated you I would have helped you.”

It took her some time to catch up, but when she did, she managed to fall into step with the other, "Why would you help me? You clearly seem to not like me" The golden female questioned the other stray.

She huffed, making her way through the alleyways of the city.

Wait... She tried to help me... I cant leave her. The female thought to herself before she got back up and she began limping back in the direction she came from, her ears pinned and she kept away from the humans while beginning to follow the scent of the other female, keeping her nose close to the ground.

She padded away.

Goldie looked around before pinning her ears, thinking the other was caught and she sighed.

Carrie didn’t follow, frowning.

Goldie scrambled into her den and she breathed heavily, shaking and she coughed.

Carrie followed her.

Once out of the building, Goldie had caught enough of her breath to try and run back toward home.

Carrie helped Goldie as much as she could so they could get away as fast as possible, snarling and baring her teeth at the humans.

Once the rope was ripped from the human's hands, Goldie could finally breathe again and she nearly fell over, sitting on her good hip and she coughed heavily, breathing in as much air as she could, trembling heavily and she tried to get out of the way, practically dragging herself, the humans trying to lure the dogs over.

Carrie jumped for the other rope once the first one was let go, biting down on it and lending her strength to Goldie’s to drag it out of the human’s grasp.
