Survival (Spain)

One of the two humans let a leash go when the second dog came out of no where, Goldie bared her fangs at the human that held the rope around her neck, beginning to ware herself out and she panted heavily, getting tired but trying to keep fighting.

Carrie practically flew down the stairs she was going so recklessly fast, skidding out of the building and lunging for one of the ropes as soon she realized what was going on.

Goldie squirmed and struggled as she was being pulled toward a cage to be transported, she kept pulling hard on the slip ropes and was starting to choke herself, hacking and giving raspy barks as she tried everything she could to get away.

Carrie jumped, eyes wide as she whipped around to stare at where Goldie’s barking was coming from. Without stopping to think about it, she bolted after them.

Goldie turned suddenly and yelped as suddenly two humans were on either side of her, both throwing ropes around her neck and keeping her where she couldn't bite either one, she snapped her jaws and barked at the humans, though her tail stayed tucked in fear, barking and whining in fear.

The German Shepherd started to gulp down her rat, not wanting to leave until she was certain Goldie was gone.

The border collie limped down the stairs, her ears back and she gave a soft whine, her leg sore as she tried to put weight on it.

Carrie felt a growl trying to escape but she bit it back, glaring after the older dog before padding over to her rat. “Stubborn bitch,” she muttered, picking it up.

She pinned her ears and frowned, "No, I don't" She snapped and bared her fangs, "Go get poisoned by garbage who cares" She snapped and limped off her own way.

She scowled. “Look, do you want the damn rat or not?”

"Everyone's luck runs out" She sighed softly.

She huffed. “Well, I haven’t died yet.”

"I've seen dogs die from them, humans like to poison them, I told you" She frowned softly, sitting and watching the other.

Carrie scowled. “Trash cans are perfectly fine.”

"Well yeah, but you were the one that tried to eat from a trashcan" She shrugged.

“You gave me the food last night,” she pointed out. “The food you got injured for.”

Goldie glanced back and she pinned her ears lightly, "No, its yours, you caught it" She said.

Carrie made a disgruntled sound and tossed the rat to Goldie. “Here.”

Goldie lowered her head as she limped, keeping the low stance to try and keep her balance as she tried to find herself some food.

Carrie turned to look at the other dog, the rat hanging from her jaws. A thought popped into her head, Why am I staying with you? Startled, she wondered why she’d been following Goldie around and listening to her ever since they’d met.

"At least one of us got something" Goldie murmured as she walked up behind her.

This time, Carrie managed to catch a rat without any interruptions.

Goldie gave up and limped off toward where the other went.

Carrie huffed and went off after another rat.

The female sighed and growled, limping after the rat as fast as she could.
