A Romantic Entanglement (Stormwind)

Feathertail didn’t budge, clearly quite happy with sharing Crowpaw’s warmth as she laid presses up against him. The she-cat didn’t wake up for some time, but when she did, and as soon as she got her bearings through her sleepy daze, she started to purr softly. “Good morning,” she whispered softly.

Crowpaw gave a soft purr once he registered Feathertail and didn’t move, instead just scanning the cave from where he lay.

Feathertail was still asleep, her head resting squarely on Crowpaw’s shoulders.

When Crowpaw finally awoke, he did so with a wide yawn, reluctantly opening his blue eyes.

Feathertail and Nightcloud each slept exceptionally well, waking up refreshed. Nightcloud went out at dawn to hunt with a few other warriors while Crowpaw and Feathertail were spared from having to wake up early to hunt.

Crowpaw flinched slightly at Nightcloud’s lick, staring at the she-cat with wide, confused, and slightly fearful eyes. What is she doing? This question occupied his thoughts for a good portion of the night, and he didn’t manage to get to sleep until shortly before dawn.

Nightcloud, curled up to Crowpaw’s rear, gave the tom a single lick before also curling up to fall asleep.

Crowpaw rested his head on his paws, relaxing in the midst of the group-cuddle, feeling safe and contented.

Feathertail knew full well how much Crowpaw loved her, and reciprocated that feeling ten times over, giving his nose one more sneaky lick before she laid down to settle down to sleep for good

Crowpaw purred softly, nuzzling into her silver tabby fur. In the middle of the cave and surrounded by the Clans as they were, he didn't say aloud that he loved her, but he hoped his actions told her so.

Nightcloud felt a weird pang of jealousy as she was ignored in favor of... Feathertail? While Crowpaw was close to most of the other journeying cats, she could tell from here that his main interest was in getting closer to the Riverclan she-cat. As she laid her head down, she smirked slightly to herself. This could be juicy, she thought with a soft purr.

Feathertail teasingly batted at Crowpaw’s ears softly as they sat together, giving the tom a daring cheek lick while she thought nobody else was watching.

(I’m male. What about you?)

Crowpaw cast Nightcloud a bemused look for her closeness, the she-cat having never shown much interest in him before, but he ignored her and happily snuggled close to Feathertail.

Stormfur settled on Feathertail’s other side, while Tawnypelt, Brambleclaw, and Squirrelpaw settled next to the other half of their group, all six snuggling together.

(Edit 7/11: I keep forgetting to ask, but what gender are you? It’s just, whenever I think about you, I don’t know what pronoun to use XP)

Nightcloud huffed softly when she saw Crowpaw grouping up with Feathertail and the other quest cats, but that was hardly going to stop her from getting what she wanted.

Feathertail purred and snuggled up right next to Crowpaw, resting her head on top of his.

Nightcloud laid close to the quest cats, close enough to touch her tail to Crowpaw’s. It could easily seem like an accident, but it certainly wasn’t.

Crowpaw was unaware of Nightcloud's thoughts, the six cats that had been on the original journey all migrating close to each other, giving Feathertail a cover. They got several disapproving looks, but surprisingly, no one spoke up against them sleeping near each other.

Leafpaw almost-wistfully watched her sister with her friends, wondering when Squirrelpaw had grown up. (Obviously during the journey, but still.) She missed the days where they were inseparable, but they were growing apart now.

Feathertail sought out Crowpaw, hoping to sleep as close to the tom as she could without arousing ire from the other clan cats.

Nightcloud, meanwhile, was also hoping to get close to Crowpaw. Something about him compelled her to do so, and maybe even to try her luck with him. Even though he was an apprentice, he’d been cropping up more and more in her dreams lately.

(I’m going to estimate they stayed with the Tribe for a week; it snowed heavily that first night.)

Soon, cats started to migrate together in order to sleep, with the medicine cats, queens, kits, and oldest cats taking the nests they had been given. This left the younger and healthy cats to sleep on the stone floor and huddle together for warmth.

Nightcloud eventually looked away once he did, a slight smirk growing across her muzzle as she looked back down at the scraps of prey between her paws. He’s growing on me a little bit... cute, fur sure...

Crowpaw stared back at his Clanmate for a few seconds, blue meeting amber, before he tore his gaze away and went back to watching the entire enormous group.

Nightcloud’s eyes happened to meet Crowpaw’s as the pair disposed of their prey, and something compelled The she-cat to hold the gaze for a few heartbeats.

Crowpaw finally finished his rather scrawny mouse, leaving nothing but bones behind. The small tom cleaned his muzzle and paws before glancing around the cavern. When they’d reached the cave, it had already been late afternoon, and by now, the sun was setting.

Feathertail ached to go sit right beside Crowpaw, just as close as she would sit to her brother, and simply share tongues with the Windclan tom until the day’s end. Knowing she would never get away with it even in the cavern full of cats, The she-cat sighed softly and picked at her prey some more. She noticed Leafpaw’s wandering gaze.

Nightcloud sat a little closer to Crowpaw than Feathertail was, by virtue of being one of his clanmates. Her thoughts wandered, though, and her mind wandered as she picked at a small scrap of a mouse.

(We’ll just skip to the mountains, then lol)

Almost a half moon after the Clans had left the forest, they reached the mountains, and now, a couple of days later (adding up to a full half moon), they had just been settled into the Tribe of Rushing Water’s cave.

Once all the queens, kits, elders, and medicine cats had been fed, Crowpaw was finally allowed to take a mouse for himself, and he sat down next to Feathertail to share with her. He was careful to keep the necessary amount of distance between them, and was only able to get away with it because all the Clans had relaxed around each other some after traveling together.

Leafpaw finished the rabbit that she and Cinderpelt had shared, and she looked around the massive cave, amber gaze lingering curiously on the Tribe cats but mostly checking the Clan cats to see if there were any wounds she needed to treat.

(Uhh... I don’t know xp I don’t know what else we could RP in the journey before the mountains)

Crowpaw leaned into his mate briefly. “Thank you,” he murmured before straightening up and resuming heading back to the temporary camp.

(Are we going to keep on RPing the journey, or should we skip to the mountains?)

“Whenever you want something, whatever it is... just tell me, alright?” Feathertail purred, nuzzling Crowpaw’s neck affectionately. “Even if you have an idea and think I would never agree to it, just tell me and I will probably go for it.” She licked his muzzle once, looking happily at the younger tom.
