A Romantic Entanglement (Stormwind)

After a few more minutes of sharing goodbyes and well-wishes, Brambleclaw led the patrol out of the cave with a couple Tribe cats as an escort. They wouldn't want their savior and her friends to get lost, after all. Crowpaw lurked at the back of the patrol, determinedly not looking over at Feathertail.

Feathertail rejoined Brambleclaw along with her brother, becoming serious once more as she reunited with the rest of the patrol.

Stormfur decided not to point out the fact that she had, in fact, almost died several times before Stoneteller had managed to stabilize her, mostly because he was trying not to think about it. He sighed, licking her cheek, and glanced over when Brambleclaw called the patrol over.

“You didn’t,” Replied Feathertail with a slight smile, though she repaid her brother’s affections by rubbing muzzles with him. “It’s going to take a bit more than a mangy fleapelt and a little rock to keep me down.”

Stormfur huffed softly. “I’m just worried for you,” he mumbled, looking down at his paws. “I almost lost you.”

Feathertail rolled her eyes in response to her brother’s worrying, but smiled good-natredlynat him, knowing his concern was just showing his heart was in the right place. “Of course not, mousebrain. Stoneteller said I should be just fine, and I think he knows a little more about herbs and medicine than you.” The she-cat thumped his chest with her forepaw.

"You're fine, right?" Stormfur checked worriedly. "Your wounds won't reopen if we leave now?"

(Ok!)

Feathertail purred loudly as her brother greeted her with affectionate rubbing and touching, closing her eyes and letting out a soft sigh.

Stormfur instantly bounded up to greet his sister with happy nuzzles and purrs while Crowpaw watched sullenly, wishing he could do something like that but couldn’t because, even though they were on this journey together, they were in different Clans. It wasn’t fair!

(So for how to get Nightcloud into the group, I figured that she and Crowpaw/feather would be friends and that later on, when the Clan starts getting suspicious of him, he asks Nightcloud to pretend to be his mate to lift the suspicion off of him and she agrees because he's her friend and she's always wanted kits of her own but hasn't been interested in any of the other toms in the Clan.)

Finally, Feathertail trotted over to the patrol of warriors, giving a thankful nod back to Stoneteller on the way to join up with the clan cats once more.

Crowpaw briefly met Feathertail’s gaze before looking away, unable to look her in the eyes for very long. While he knew he loved her, now, and she’d admitted that she loved him, he’d never been particularly good with feelings, especially his own. As awkward as the situation was, though, he missed when they were comfortable around each other. He hoped they could get that back.

(I’m going to go to sleep now, sorry.)

Feathertail’s paws itched as she stood nearly perfectly still, trying her best to just get this last checkup over with so that she could be on her way. She’d spent long enough waiting around already, and wanted to get back to the pressing matter: saving her friends and family.

Glancing across the cave at Crowpaw, she felt a slight pang through her heart as she caught the apprentice’s eyes. And I suppose I have that to attend to as well. Throughout The journey to find the clans’ new home she’d grown more and more smitten with the tom. On her deathbed, after killing Sharpclaw, she’d been stupid enough to admit it to him, thinking it would be the last words she uttered.

(*eyes Crowpaw oddly* So. You and me, huh?

All righty then. So it’s about a week after Feathertail killed Sharpclaw and the Clan cats are preparing to leave, only having waited that long to allow Feathertail to recover enough from her injuries so that she could leave with them. Also, as of right now, Leafpaw is nine moons old, Nightcloud is thirteen moons old, Crowpaw is fourteen moons old, and Feathertail is twenty nine moons/two years and five moons old.)

Crowpaw paced back and forth, waiting (anxiously) impatiently for Stoneteller to finish checking up on Feathertail for the final time. The past quarter moon had been agonizing for him, with the tom only realizing the depth of his feelings for the silver tabby once she had almost died, and worrying over her injuries.

Here it is! So, we have four cats to split up. Which two do you want? Although, since in my idea of this I planned to start shortly after when Feathertail would otherwise have died, neither of us can be both Crowfeather and Feathertail.
