Cretatous Survival (Ash)

Scowler moved over to his son and laid down, willing enough for now to ignore flowers presence in favour of clearing the air with his son.

Trics twitched and murmured as she slept, her tail flicking lightly. Patchy sighed as he laid with a sleeping Flower, he turned his head and watched his fsther coming toward them.

Scowler stood when he woke, buzzing trics lovingly he trotted into the herd looking for patchy.

Trics sighed softly and she stretched lightly, slowly dozing off once she relaxed.

Scowler smiled lightly and laid down beside trics, yawning he laid his head down and closed his eyes.

Her eyes rolled and she huffed at him, "Alright alright, just quit growling" She teased, attempting to lighten his mood.

Scowler growled softly "I'm not leaving you behind trics, I'm not moving the herd until you can stand" he said, huffing his stubbornness.

She winced as she coughed and she let out a sigh, "Don't stoo the migration just because of me Scowler" She mumbled.

Scowler moved to trics side whilst Skalk kept the herd away, "just rest" scowler said nuzzling his mate.

"I'm fine... Scowler... Just sore from my wounds..." She coughed softly as she laid on her side, her eyes half lidded as she laid there, tensing when the herd was getting close.

Scowler looked at his mate, moving to sniff her worriedly. "What's wrong" he said frantically moving toward her, dispite his prior bad mood he could never deny his love for his mate, even when in a terrible mood he'd move mountains for her. "Trics?" He asked and shrieked frantically, Skalk trotting over. The bad blood forgotten between the two, at scowlers call the herd crowded causing scowler to charge at a male he thought was too close. He tossed the male to the ground and threatened anyone who stepped closer.

By the time he looked back, Trics was breathing heavily and she flopped onto the ground, letting out a few coughs as she laid on the ground.

Scowler turned his head to his son and his sons mate noticing slight tenson, scowler seemed relieved as he looked back to trics.

"I can already see it Scowler, look at the way they're talking to one another" She said softly, looking to their son and his mate.

Scowler raised his eyebrows at her words, curious as to why she was suddenly compromising, he took a step closer, "and if he doesn't?" He questions suspisiously. He wasn't happy that previously she'd been ready to leave in favour of her sons first mate and now she was sure that patchy would move on.

"You need to calm down" She said quietly and looked to him, "He'll move on from her, but you have to give it time" She spoke softly.

Scowler looked at trics and moved over to her, he said nothing obviously not trusting himself to.

Trics sighed and she slowly moved toward her mate, limping slowly and coughing, "Scowler..." She murmured as she got close.

Skalk immediately got to his feet and helped trics up, presuming that her going alone would be for the best, knowing his presence would probably just irritate scowler further. With his assistance temporaryily not needed he went to his mate but kept an eye on scowler.

"I'll be fine, I'm used to it, the three males tormented me all the time, so I can deal with Scowler" She said as she slowly tried to get up.

Skalk nodded, "would you like me to come with you?" He asks, worried that an argument would brew between the couple again.

"I know" She sighed, looking to her mate when he was in view, "I should talk to him" She mumbled.

Scowler watched the two for a moment more before glaring angrily at his brother and moving to the front of the herd again, laying down. "He's just hurt trics, he's using anger to cover it." Skalk says.

"Just let him calm down slowly, if me threatening to leave the herd with Patchy and eggs didn't do anything, I don't know what will" She sighed.

He nods, "I wouldn't have left her if I didn't think she could handle herself. Even pregnate she's a force to be reckoned with, like I presumed you are given how stubborn and cocky scowler is" he says. He cast his vision to scowler, who had spotted the two, "I'll talk to him" he says looking at trics.
