Cretatous Survival (Ash)

She slowly stood and moved a small ways away to graze, her tail twitching.

Scowler had remained stained awake while his mate slept, he kept an eye on the herd aswell, yet everything seemed to have settled down.

The female slept for a while with no issues, she woke and let out a loud yawn.

Scowler turned his head to trics, giving a soft huff he smiled and laid his head down, not allowing himself to sleep and instead continuing to scout.

The female laid beside her nest and she lowered her head slowly, unable to keep herself from sleeping.

Scowler laid down, still alert and ready to charge again but he was at ease. Keeping an eye on the rest of the herd aswell.

She sighed and softly nuzzled him back, before turning back to the remaining eggs and she moved them around again.

Scowler nodded, standing near her protectively, nuzzling her frill.

"Yeah... I'm fine" She said quietly, watching the herd go back to normal like nothing happened.

Scowler grunted and walked back to trics. Nuzzling her side, "you alright?" He asks worriedly.

The herd watched in silence and fear as their leader killed off the egg stealers, Trics softly pushed the eggs around in attempts to make jerself feel better about losing two eggs at once, knowing there was still more eggs to be hatched did help her a little.

Scowler roared when he saw the egg hit the ground, hoping that it was a decoy that his rage spilled all the same. He pulled the egg stealer to the ground and slammed into it will his frill.

Trics managed to roll herself back over and she stood over the nest again, the egg stealers let out cries and tried to get away from the angry trike, in the process the eggs dropped and crumbled on the hard ground.

Scowler roared and charged at the egg stealer, he charged at the dinosaur trampling it, swiping his horns dangerously he reared forward and bit the dinosaurs tail dragging it back.

A pack of egg stealers charged from the bushes, heading toward less defended nests, but one managed to get under Trics and she panicked, feeling something strange under her wasn't very comfortable to her, she ended up on her back beside the nest while a could egg stealers made off with am egg each.

Scowler didn't respond, he was much too focused on defending his mate and nest, shaking his frill in challenge

Trics snorted lightly as she stood over her nest, "Damn things" She huffed, her tail swaying.

Scowler kept close to trics, running his horns along the ground he began trotting around snorting loudly when he spotted something moving in the trees. But he wasn't willing to charge and offer an opportunity to them to snatch an egg,

Trics lowered her head and stood over her nest, snorting loudly and watching the treeline, she could smell more than just the one eggstealer.

Scowler grunted, stationing himself at his nest, he whipped his horns out in front of him dangerously, charging at anything that came close.

It wasn't long before there was a ruckous on the other side of the clearing, the sounds jolted Trics awake and she got to her feet, an egg stealer had already tried grabbing eggs but was run off, most of the herd was panicked now, making protective circles around all the nests.

Scowler chuckled lightly, nuzzling her and grazing steadily next to her, keeping a careful look out, protecting both his mate and eggs.

Eventually, exhaustion overtook the female and she dozed off next to her nest, sleeping heavily.

He chuckled nudging her back softly, "I know it will" he says nipping her frill. He continued to graze placing himself between the trees and the nest hoping it would calm her.

"And that will cause even more problems" She sighed and pushed back against him, grazing lightly but constantly looking back to her eggs, scared egg stealers would show up if she looked away too long.
