A Cat's Only Payment [Stormwind]

"I'm fine love, really" She said softly and nuzzled him softly, her tail lashing.

Blu flicked his ears and followed his mate, sniffing around lightly.

Lark nodded, mewing out an "I see." Sighing contentedly, he locked eyes with his mate as their kit suckled, asking "Is there anything I can do for you, Lanx? Anything you need or want?"

Scout peeked out of the open door and began to explore the house, eventually coming upon a door with a flap in it. they got us a cat door! squeaking with excitement, he jumped outside, enjoying a soft breeze that blew through the air.

"The same really, I just need to make sure I eat enough for myself than to produce enough milk for her" She mewed softly to him.

Purring loudly, Lark asked "How did it feel to eat for two for the first time?" Though she had been doing it throughout her pregnancy of course, Lark wondered if she felt any different now that the kit was animate and acting more like a cat than a fluff ball.

She purred softly and nuzzled him, watching as Lily curled up at her stomach and started suckling greedily, kneading her mother's bellyfur softly.

"It'll happen eventually, I'm sure of it." Lark mewed, nuzzling his mate to comfort her. Sighing softly, he rested his muzzle on her shoulders, simply soaking up affection from her.

"I'm just worried... What if she cant walk well...?" She whimpered softly and nuzzled him.

"She's only been trying a day or so." Lark reasoned, nuzzling both kit and mate lovingly. "She'll get better as she goes." He hoped that she would be ok to walk on her own, gazing with love and worry at his daughter

The kit eventually grew tired of playing and she tried to crawl around, "Its strange... Her legs don't seem to be agreeing with her mind" Lanx murmured lightly while watching the little one.

Blu nuzzled him and let out a soft sigh, getting up and heading toward the litterbox on the other side of the room.

"Hello, little one." Lark purred loudly, watching as their new daughter batted at his tail playfully.

Scout nuzzled Blu softly, peeking out of their shelter to see that the door was open again.

"Yeah, I'm fine" She murmured softly, her tail flicking and she watched their daughter, giving a small smile as the kit flopped onto her back and kicked at her father's tail.

"I promise" He said softly and nuzzled him.

Lark looked over to Lanx as she settled down. "Lanx, are you ok?" He moved to her side, pressing close to his mate while still dangling his tail for Lily to play with.

Scout nodded, though the expression on his face was disbelieving.

Lanx laid down and watched Lily jump at the sudden noise from her father and she looked around looking for the sudden noise, "She'll grow into them" Lanx murmured, laying her head down lightly.

"Just give her time" He said softly and groomed his mate.

"Oh my gosh, Lanx!" Lark purred excitedly, not noticing her anger as he looked down at the kit. "Her ears are so big! It's adorable!" Purring still, he dangled the tail over her face again.

Scout sighed and ate out of his bowl some more, tail drooping.

Lanx ate her fill then started going back to her mate and kit, her hackles raised a bit as she crawled into their nest. The kit squeaked and moved into her father's licks, her ears flicking off and on, her ears opening up as her eyes had done.

Blu shook his head lightly and moved to his mate, nuzzling him and licking his head softly.

Scout pinned his ears back in response to Lanx's growl, watching guiltily as the she-cat padded as far away from him as she could.

Lark quickly groomed the tiny kit, though this was a mere distraction as the tail slithered along the ground towards her head.

Lanx jumped when Scout sat beside her and she let out a low growl, she pinned her ears and stood, moving to another one of the food bowls farther away from him. Lily continued flopping over every time she tried to stand, eventually giving up and pouting.

Blu stepped out of the nest he shared with his mate and he sighed as he watched what had happened.

Lark purred loudly, gradually moving the tail higher and higher to encourage Lily to keep trying to stand on her own.

Scout padded out and sat down beside Lanx, drinking from the bowl of water that was set next to the food.

Lanx lashed her tail as she ate, eating quite a bit as usual, since she needed to produce milk for Lily. The kit mewled and tried to stand to jump onto her father's tail.

Blu watched Scout go and he purred softly while watching him.

Lark chuckled happily, continuing to dangle his tail just within Lily's reach and having almost as much fun as she was while playing around with the tiny kit.

Scout nuzzled Blu lovingly before finally standing up, shaking the tiredness out of his legs before slowly padding out into the room, noticing Lanx eating across the way.

The kit squeaked and tried to play with his tail, flopping over and pawing at his tail while her mother calmly ate, her ears twitching lightly.

"It'll be fine" He said softly and nuzzled his mate softly.

Lark dangled his tail above their kit playfully, giving Lily something fun to do as he tried to mimic the unpredictable flight of a butterfly with his tailtip, buzzing it right past her face before making it hover over her.

Scout sighed wearily, nuzzling into Blu's fur. "I'm still worried about going out there and facing them." The tom pinned his ears back with his confession, eyes cast down as he was groomed.

"Says you" She purred and nuzzled him before getting up and walking out of the cat tree, walking to the bowls and sitting down to eat.

Blu chuckled softly and continued grooming his mate, his tail lashing softly as he purred.

"I guess you're not eating then." Lark retorted playfully, though he quickly rejoined Lanx and Lily, settling in to watch the kit.

Scout laid down again, purring softly, tired legs not ready to carry him out of the tree yet.

"Don't make me come out there" Lanx teased her mate and chuckled, her tail lashing.

Blu yawned and looked to his mate, chuckling and grooming him softly.
