Dim Light (Stormwind)

(It’s an Arctic Hare, but obviously DimClan wouldn’t know that :p)

“It’s a snow hare,” Graycloud murmured. “I’ve never seen them anywhere else.”

“I know squirrel,” whispered Echowhisper, crouching low to the ground beside Graycloud, “But what’s that second one?”

Graycloud scented the air as well, identifying the scent that Echowhisper didn’t know as one of the white hares that lived in their territory and that she’d never seen anywhere else.

I sure hope so. Echowhsiper’s coat wasn’t nearly as thick as those of the cats that had lived here their whole lives. Quieting down for now, the silvery she-cat scented the air once more, detecting squirrel and something else she didn’t quite recognize.

Graycloud shrugged her shoulders. “If you’re going to be spending any length of time here, you’re going to get used to it.”

Echowhisper shrugged. “It’s been so long since there was this much snow in my territory that I didn’t think about it.” The silvery she-cat then shivered slightly. “It’s been a while since it was cold like this too.”

Graycloud shrugged, continuing on as she scented the air. "Well, it is still leaf-bare. Just barely, granted, but it is still leaf-bare."

“Only in leafbare,” Replied Echowhisper, scenting the air. “Other than that there’s never any.”

Graycloud’s smirk grew. “Honestly, we were all amazed by the fact that your Clan doesn’t have snow right now.”

“Wow...” Echowhisper Replied with a murmur, consciously keeping her voice down so that she wouldn’t scare off their prey.

Graycloud cast a glance at Echowhisper and smirked a little at the awed look on her face. “Get used to it,” she advised. “There’s hardly ever a time where there isn’t snow here, even in greenleaf.”

Echowshiper took it all in as she walked beside Graycloud, stunned by the snow that cling to life in the shadows beneath the trees, and the iced over parts of the steam before them. I can’t believe how much snow and ice there still is. It’s practically Newleaf!

Graycloud trudged through the snow, heading towards where a stream wound its way through a small clearing. While it was likely that at least part of the stream would be frozen, prey always gathered there whether it was or not.

Echowshiper followed close behind, gazing around the territory as Graycloud lead them to what would presumably be a good hunting spot.

Dipping her head to the older she-cat, Graycloud led Echowhisper out of the camp.

Echowshiper nodded affirmatively to the deputy’s orders, eager to go hunting in the strange territory and learn what she could from the young warrior beside her.

Graycloud flicked her tail, stopping in front of Shadowleaf and taking a couple minutes to get their new orders. They were to go hunting.

Echowshiper blinked distractedly, but dipped her head out of gratitude to the other she-cat for keeping her out of harm’s way.

Graycloud gently nudged Echowhisper away from walking into Meadowpaw, as the other she-cat hadn’t noticed her at all.

Echowhisper followed close behind, not really paying attention to where she was walking as she focused on keeping her scent from spreading around too much.

Graycloud glanced around the camp briefly before heading over to where she had spotted the black-furred deputy.

“Alright,” Replied Echowhisper distractedly, having to focus pretty hard on not lifting her tail again.

“I suppose we should go find Shadowleaf to give us our next job,” she sighed.

Echwoshiper looked the wall up and down. She’d given the Dimclan cats a few pointers on reinforcing the walls that Loveclan used, and they looked much better now than they had when she’d arrived. Glancing over to Graycloud, she wondered what they would be doing now that their part of the wall was done.

Graycloud ruffled her pelt, glancing at the section of the wall they were supposed to be working on. Thankfully, they had finished it.
