Zombie Cat Apocalypse (Bacon)

The breathing of the unconscious she-cat was shallow, her eyes closed.

The toms moved the stillborn kits and they sighed, staying with Ariana to keep an eye on her.

After going through the process three more times, producing two more she-kits and one tom, Ariana blacked out.

The tom behind her pulled the kit gently and he sighed, getting ready for the next kit, if there was another.

Arching her back, Ariana gave a massive push and gave birth to a tiny she-kit, which was, of course, dead, too young to survive.

Ryder had been kicked out of the room for yelling too much at the other toms. One of the two put some pressure on Ariana's stomach while the other tried to open her up more to allow the kits to pass.

Much time passed and Ariana still had yet to deliver the kits, too weak to scream anymore.

The older toms got to work with her, helping her out as much as they could.

The she-cat was starting to weaken by now, her breakdown from earlier having already taken a lot of her energy.

He came back with a couple older toms he knew he could trust and that had been around she-cats kitting before the infection happened.

Her eyes shutting from the pain, Ariana yowled indecipherable words every time a contraction hit her.

He jolted then ran for the door, he yelped when he ran face first into the door, he stumbled around a bit before managing to get out and find a couple cats to help.

"Just get some help!" She cried, convulsing in agony as her body worked to give birth to the kits.

"I thought it came natural to she-cats" He yelped, his fur on end, he paced around, it didn't click in his mind to go get help.

"No, of course not! This is the first time I've done this!" She hissed, biting back another wail.

(No one else has heard yet? XD)

"Y-you know what to do right?" He was clearly panicking.

Her ears flattening, she clawed at the mattress, squeezing her eyes shut.

His eyes widened and he paced, "Okay uhh.... I don't know what to do" He yelped.

"Too late for me to calm down!" She gasped out, arching her back in agony. "Ryder, they're coming early!"

"Too late for what?" He asked and watched her.

She stared at him, her eyes wide with terror and pain. "I-it was too l-l-late...!" Her voice trailed off into a pained wail.

The tom jolted and got to his paws, "What?" He yelped. The kits mewled in distress and they tried to find their way back to Ariana.

She hissed in pain, convulsing and thus knocking the kits away from her. "R-Ryder!"

He groomed her, his ears flicking, the kits squirmed and curled in the she-cat's fur, starting to suckle again. Completely oblivious.

Quivering, she pushed her muzzle into his fur and breathed in his scent, finally starting to relax a little only to have a lightning bolt of pain shoot through her abdomen.
