Zombie Cat Apocalypse (Bacon)

He sighed and tried to calm her down, his tail curling with hers, the two kits squirmed and mewled in distress, they sensed the she-cat's distress and they didn't like it.

(I think it would be interesting having all of their kits die. I've never actually RPed something like that before)

"I-I c-c-can't!" She hiccuped, staring at him beseechingly with teary blue eyes.

"Ariana, you need to stop, you'll hurt the kits" He said.

(They wouldn't be able to survive at a month into the pregnancy, but if you want it to happen go for it)

She barely heard him, her violent trembling probably causing the two kits at her belly quite an amount of distress.

(Should she end up having her kits?)

He sighed, "Look to the two that are left, they need you now" He said.

She buried her muzzle in her paws, her breath now coming in huge heaves as she got herself so worked up it was most definitely not going to end well.

"We'll take care of it when we get there, if it ever happens" He said.

She cried even harder at his words, what was supposed to be comforting having the opposite effect on her. "But I wasn't supposed to get too attached to them until we were certain they weren't infected! What if the others get it too?!"

"It's fine Ariana, things like this happen now, its rare that she-cats even get to name their kits" He said.

"I-I can't," she whispered, trembling violently. "I tried not to, but I couldn't help it. Ryder, I named them!" Her voice rose in a wail.

"You need to calm down, it isn't good for you or the kits" He said in a soothing tone.

Barely able to see through the tears blurring her vision, Ariana tried unsuccessfully to blink them away. Too distraught to care for her foster kits at the moment, she buried her face in Ryder's fur, her distress causing the kits inside her to start acting up.

The tom came back a few minutes later and he curled around her, softly grooming the she-cat. The kits squirmed and mewled, the little she-kit had a bit of her brother's blood on her fur.

"Wait! Can't I even say goodbye?" Ariana cried, but she was wasting her breath. He was already gone. Burying her muzzle in her paws, she wept, wrapping her tail tightly around the two remaining kits.

Ryder pushed the two live kits toward her before walking out of the room to burry the kit outside.

Ariana felt like her heart had been split in two the moment the kit went limp and she collapsed on the bed, letting out an agonized wail.

The kit gave a strange sound, exactly like the turned did, with one quick move and a loud snapping sound, the kit's spine had been snapped and the little one fell limp in Ryder's jaws, making no movements or sounds.

Quivering, she couldn't tear her horrified gaze away from the kit in Ryder's jaws.

"If he was actually our son, I would have put him out if his misery sooner" Ryder said flatly, he was soft yet strong as he pushed her, taking the kit in his jaws again.

She whimpered, trembling. "Would you still be like this if he was actually my son? One of our kits?" She whispered, her voice wavering.

"Ariana he's infected! Unless you want the other two to get infected we have to kill him!" He snarled, his fur on end, "Its either kill him or just kill all three right now!"

"No!" Ariana shrieked, jumping upright and lunging forward, snatching the kit out of Ryder's grip and standing over him protectively.

"So you want me to do it?" His tail lashed as he watched the tom struggle, his coughing started getting worse, so the point where a little bit if blood splattered from his mouth, "He's turning" Ruder growled and roughly grabbed the kit, the little body between the tom's jaws.

She yanked her paw back, lifting her horrified gaze to his. "No- don't make me so this, Ryder!"

"I told you it was your job if it happens" He mewed and pushed the kit to her with his tail, his ears back.
