The Stolen Troop

Taka chuckled and continued to tour his son around slowly.

Chaka clung onto his father's back, looking around excitedly at the new height to view their little world, used to seeing things from his mother's height.

Taka chuckled suddenly leaning forward to force Chaka onto his back, beginning to walk slowly with him.

Chaka seemed to want to stay with his father, managing to wiggle from his grasp and he wobblily made his way along his father's arm, the small male sitting on his father's shoulder, playfully swatting at him.

Taka continued to hold Chaka, but held out his arm just in case their son wanted to return to his mother.

She could hear their son beginning to babble as he was held by his father, the small gorilla squirming and staring up toward his father, the young male clearly hadn't been born with his mother's blindness.

Taka held their son gently, watching him with overwhelming interest.

Vera looked in her mate's direction as she felt him pressing his head to her, she gave a soft laugh and she let Chaka crawl to the large male's lap.

Taka reached out to hold Chaka excitedly, pressing his head to his mate.

The female happily stayed close to the male, holding their baby close and she gave a content breath.

Taka watched her with a smile, continuing to eat messily beside her.

Navera began picking at some of the foods, leaning against the male.

Taka kept her close, but started to eat, hungry after his nap.

She leaned against him, giving a soft smile, relaxing with the large silverback as she began nursing their baby as the small gorilla fussed.

Taka pressed his head to hers lovingly, before leaving his mate alone in favor of eating.

Vera gave a soft breath as she listened tot he troop, her blind eyes looking about.

Taka pulled Vera close with a yawn, reaching forward to touch Chaka gently.

Vera continued to swat at the females, whom eventually backed off.

Taka noticed the way Vera was trying to keep the females away, while the male could see the females didn't mean harm, he moved to shoo them away for his mate.

She nuzzled close to him and let out a soft breath, trying, and failing, to swat away a couple young females curiously trying to see Chaka.

Taka pulled her close, "hopefully," he said with a frown, nuzzling her shoulder.

"Maybe they're keeping them in there... Not that I'm complaining" She murmured, keeping her baby close.

Taka frowned and looked around, "only the female's are out" he informed her.

Vera whimpered and stayed pressed close to her mate, hearing the troop now out of the tunnels, though didnt hear one specific male, "They didn't let him out..." She murmured, only the females had been let out.

Taka frowned and kept Vera close, keeping a stern eye on the tunnels.
