Everlasting Love (Stormwind)

Eagle snarled in anger and surprise, rolling with the other tom’s weight until he was on top and could pin him to the ground, raking his long claws down the calico’s vulnerable belly.

Streamfire just dug in tighter, even more infuriated by the fact that Brookwing had yet to move after being hit.

Just as Duststorm whirled around to face Mouse and repay her for clawing his mate, Sterlingflight glanced over at the other pair of rogues. His face instantly darkened as he recognized Eagle, and without warning the tom yowled fiercely and slammed into the brown rogue’s side.

Cloud hissed and caterwauled as he tried to buck Streamfire off of his back, but to no avail. The claws and teeth digging into his body sent pain rolling through the huge tom as he spun in circles and did his best to try and knock her off of him.

Silverwish’s own claws tore at the earth beneath her as she glanced out over the fight. When her brother attacked Eagle suddenly the amount of tension the medicine cat felt only skyrocketed, and the silvery tabby began to visibly shake.

Mossflower whirled around just in time to dodge Eagle’s attack, only to get Mouse’s claws to the muzzle. Letting out a pained hiss, she leaped back, closer to her mate.

Willowheart curled her claws into the ground, tension evident in every line of her body.

Streamfire let out an infuriates snarl when Brookwing was hit by a blow that sent her tumbling, leaping forward to land on Cloud’s back and sink her claws into his flesh, fastening her teeth in his ear.

Finally, the pair of former rogues seemed to have a strategy to nest Cloud, the tom hissing in pain, and realizing that now some of the blood on his pelt was his. This infuriated the gray tabby, and despite his blows being slower, they were still powerful and could be dangerous if one connected.

“Mossflower, on your left!” Warned Sterlingflight, clawing at the race of another rogue as he alerted the mate’s to the double threat coming in in Duststorm’s blind spot. The deputy hadn’t yet registered that one of these flashes of brown fur in the corner of his eye was Eagle, but once he did all bets were off on the tom maintaining control of himself.

Silverwish finally reached Willowheart’s side, slightly reassured by seeing her brother fighting skillfully along his mate and the two most experienced warriors in the clan.

Eagle lunged forward to attack Duststorm and Mossflower, accompanied by Mouse, who was limping a little on her injured leg.

Streamfire and Brookwing attacked Cloud as a pair, taking turns darting in to attack him and watching each others’ backs.

Willowheart hovered worriedly at the edge of the battle, anxiously searching the seething mass of battling cats for her father.

Rabbit and Whiskers didn’t bother to respond to Oakfoot, just leaping forward to engage the three warriors in battle, Lightning slipping through the crush to help her two denmates.

Oakfoot joined Wolfheart and Brackenspots to line up more evenly with the rogues now facing them. “Foxhearts!” The Brown tom snarled between heaving breaths. There was a new notch in the Tom’s ear, crusted with blood, and he was looking just as battered as most of the rest of his clanmates. For now, it seemed the warriors were losing.

Duststorm turned his attention to another rogue after he sent yet another cat fleeing, knowing he could trust Mossflower to cover his blind left side.

Silverwish finally arrived at the edge of the battlefield, looking around frantically for Willowheart.

Horrified at the death of their Clanmates that happened just as they chased off their opponent, Streamfire and Brookwing lunged for Cloud with snarls pulling at their lips.

While Mouse retreated, her kits took her place to attack Wolfheart and Brackenspots.

Across the way, Cloud sneered as Splashflower made one last attempt to beat him back, her blows against the huge tabby getting weaker and weaker from the loss of blood she was suffering. The She-cat was heavily battered and barely staying on her paws at this point. Duststorm, after sending another opponent scampering from the battlefield, could only look on in horror as Cloud lunged and tore out the tortoiseshell’s throat in one bite.

Sterlingflight snarled at the face of the rogue he was facing off against, while Wolfheart moved back into formation with Brackenspots after temporarily beating back their opponent, Mouse.

Brackenspots lunged forward and big down hard on Mouse’s tail while she was pinned, causing the brown tabby to let out a screeching howl of pain as she tore herself free from the two, darting back to put some space in between them.

Cloud was still causing mayhem in the battle’s front lines. The massive tom cut an imposing figure, and his sheer physical strength meant that any cat who tried to knock him off-balance seemingly bounced off of him almost comically. Splashflower was one such cat who tried. When she noticed the gray tom moving in to attack herself, Streamfire, and Brookwing, she broke away from helping the sisters fight off a few of the other rogues and faced down the huge tom head on.

Wolfheart hissed as Mouse’s claws raked against his side, but took the opportunity to try and bite down on the rogue’s outstretched foreleg, hoping make her an easier target for Brackenspots.

Willowheart paused for a moment before seeing that Silverwish didn’t need any help and resumed running.

Mouse was highly amused by the younger tom’s frustration, lunging forward to rake her claws along his side.

While the pair of Oakfoot and Emberleaf had succeeded in dispersing Dovefeather’s attackers, the She-cat was in no condition to continue fighting, limping out of the battle and back towards camp with blood dripping from various parts of her, including a nasty incision across her belly.

“Stand still!” Wolfheart’s snarl was uncharacteristic of the tom, but the strength of Lionclan flowed through him at that moment, and the tom was frustrated that Mouse was so easily dodging the attacks coming from him and Brackenspots.

Silverwish hissed in frustration at the sight of an injured clanmate walking toward her, having to stop to treat Dovefeather’s injuries as worry for her brother consumed her thoughts.

(I meant Eagle, sorry XD

Ah, okay.)

Willowheart ran as quickly as she could through the undergrowth towards the border with the rogues.

Emberleaf hissed angrily, lunging toward the pile of rogues and forcefully pulling one of my sinking her teeth deep into his tail, scraping the bone.

Mouse evaded the two warriors’ blows as best she could, her small stature allowing her to slip around them and attack them easily, helped by the fact that the two had not trained to fight together.

Silverwish quickly put together a bundle of essential herbs before racing after Willowheart, charging after her former apprentice towards the battlefield.

Oakfoot growled angrily and raced after Emberleaf to their clannate’s aid. The tom snarled as he leapt onto the back of one of the rogues pinning Dovefeather down, but doing so just caused a second rogue to pile onto him as well.

Wolfheart ran up alongside Brackenspots to face down Mouse, panting heavily and already bleeding from a scratch above his eye, but more than ready to continue the fight.


(Bear’s been dead for a while, remember? Silverwish took him out while defending Streamfire.

The ‘flies’ part of the prophecy was to give a hint as to who it was about. For now Streamfire and Willowheart are presuming that ‘death flying in on his wings’ means that Sterlingflight himself is in danger, but that may not entirely be the case.

I haven’t decided everyone yet either, but I am going to clear out the characters I don’t use so I can make way for kits and such. :3 )

Willowheart’s eyes widened in instant comprehension and horror and she bolted from the den and then the camp, running to save her father.

Emberleaf jerked around Dovefeather’s horrified yowl and raced to aid her, hoping that she wasn’t too late to help.

I was thinking of killing Mouse, Bear, Brackenspots, and/or Brookwing (just thinking, I haven’t decided yet) and maybe badly injuring some of the others)

The foursome of Loveclan’s most senior warriors was on a tear. Sterlingflight’s skilled takedowns and pattern of slashing at his opponent, exposing them, doing more damage, and darting back into the group had already sent one of his opponents fleeing.

Sun scowled at the damage the four most experienced cats were doing to his lines, and quickly decided the best way to gain the upper hand would be to shock them, then overwhelm them with sheer numbers. Smirking, the male ordered Cloud to do just that, and the imposing tom charged towards Olivewhisker and Dovefeather. Despite the pair holding their formation perfectly, Cloud’s brute strength sent the diminutive Olivewhisker flying, where she landed unnaturally on her neck and then laid still. Dovefeather hardly had time to react with a horrified yowl before Cloud and three other rogues pounced on her, the she-cat disappearing under a writing ball of fur.

Silverwish pinned her ears back, urging her paws to move quickly but unable to uproot herself just yet.

“...Sterlingflight…” Her brother was in danger!

“What?” Willowheart asked worriedly, seeing the dawning, horrified realization on her aunt’s face. “What did you find?”

Mouse faced down Brackenspots, Streamfire and Brookwing fought as a team to take down rogues, Emberleaf and Blossomsnow had been separated early on, Eagle, Whiskers, and Rabbit gleefully attacked, and Lightning only did it because she had to.

“Fly… wait.”  Silverwish pinned her ears back, a horrified expression crossing her face, her paws frozen to the ground as a cold terror rooted her paws to the ground.

As the clan and the rogues clashed, the meeting point became a whirlwind of bodies. The clan cats dropped into the positions they had practiced beforehand, with pairs of cats fighting off the onslaught of rogues coming from every direction. The one exception was Duststorm, Mossflower, Sterlingflight, And Rainstar, who fought as four to allow Mossflower to cover the vulnerable blind spot Duststorm had.

There was that one dramatic moment you always see in movies, and then the two groups clashed, immediately starting to fight.

Willowheart shook her head, ears pinning back against her head.

“What about ‘Wing’ or ‘Fly?’” Retorted Silverwish, desperate to interpret their vision quickly lest it cost them lives not to.

“Look at them wasting their energy charging,” sneered Cloud, which even caused Sun to smirk a lopsided smirk for a second. Dipping his head to his ‘deputy,’ the huge gray tom turned to the rogue and gleefully yowled “Tear their throats out!” He then lead the rogues to advance at a trot towards the warriors, the two battle lines closing on one another rapidly now. While the rogues had just been laughing at the clan cats for running at them, what difference did it make if they charged when they were simply going to overwhelm the clan cats?

“I don’t know know,” the spotted she-cat said worriedly. “I don’t know any cats that have ‘Wind’ or any variation of it in their name, I don’t think.”

All seven of my Clan cats that were there walked forward, then trotted, then slowly sped up until they were running at the rogues.

Silverwish turned to Willowheart with the same alarm in her eyes. “We may have misinterpreted our vision. Who else could it be about...?”

Sterlingflight turned to his warriors and nodded, and the outnumbered clan cats began to trot towards the enemy lines, starting off slowly. The tom tried to push down the realization that that glance might have been the last time he ever looked into the eyes of some of his clanmates.

Willowheart looked at Silverwish with some alarm, eyes wide.

Rainstar ordered her cats to attack.

(Yelling ‘Attack!’ always feels so needlessly dramatic XD)

Sterlingflight turned to Rainstar, waiting for her order before moving or ordering an attack. Sun let his warriors glare across the gap between the two parties of cats, and a terrible silence settled over the battlefield.

Echowhisper sat up suddenly, turning to Willowheart with wide eyes and startling Silverwish with the speed of her movement.

“Beware the wind that whips through the trees, and the death that flies in in his wings.” The wounded warrior’s voice was not her own, and as soon as she finished speaking she flopped back over, seemingly asleep the instant her head hit the moss again.

Willowheart hurried over to her sister from where she had been sorting the herbs. “How are you feeling?”

All the warriors nodded, looking fiercely determined.
