Deep barks came from a large covered kennel in the very back of a well known kill shelter in a large city, some weeks ago there had been a raid on a farm puppy mill where hybrid dogs had been discovered, the largest and most aggressive was a jet black Tibetan Mastiff, great dane, wolf hybrid. He was tall like a dane, muscular and inquisitive like a wolf, and thick furred like the Tibetan Mastiff. Many of the staff in the shelter were petrified of the male, some even trying to keep potential adopters away from him. "Sir... We have many other dogs in need of homes in the shelter and foster homes... What possessed you to want to adopt the most troubled and unadoptable dog we have here?" One worker rambled to the male wanting to blindly adopt the hybrid dog. "He's not exactly friendly... What if you got hurt? Honestly he should just be left to rest, the only reason he's been here this long is because we're hesitant to risk him getting out where he can get us" The worker continued to ramble, stopping in front of the large kennel and removing the tarp blocking the view of the hybrid dog.
The dog, who's chart showed was named Bentley, lunged at the kennel gate and snarled as he tried to get at the, female, worker, most of the workers seemed to be female and the dog tended to lash out most toward them, when he caught eye of the male, he sniffed at the air and gave a warning growl, but he backed down, it seemed as though Bentley just didn't like females. The hybrid kept his eyes locked on the pair until he saw the female going to unlock the gate, Bentley was quick to lunge forward, saliva flying as he tried to bite at the female, he backed off when the gate was slammed closed, "There's gotta be another dog you want sir..." the worker whimpered to the male, trembling in fear of the large dog.
