Dim Light (Stormwind)

Graycloud's eyes widened in alarm at the damage to the barrier and quickly plunged into the camp.

Puddlepaw rounded the corner, so, so excited to bound into the camp and tell his mom and Dad all about the adventure...

But when he reached the barrier, there were several new holes torn into it. The tom froze, gaping at the damage until Graycloud and the rest of the patrol caught up.

"Puddlepaw!" Graycloud called after the young tom, exasperated, before shaking her head with a sigh and picking up the pace.

Puddlepaw, though, knew exactly where he was going, and in an attempt to break out of the dark cloud that constantly hung over his mentor he ran ahead, eager to see the clearing come into view once more.

Echowhisper watched the young tom tear off, trying to use him to locate the camp.

(It was Graycloud that said that. Rainstorm is just a grumpy shadow)

Graycloud couldn't see what Echowhisper was doing, but if she had been able to, she would have sent her an amused look. Their camp was well-hidden, and if you didn't know exactly where it was, you were unlikely to be able to find it.

Echowhisper didn’t respond to Rainstorm, fully used to his sour attitude after the week of trekking they’d done. Instead, she squinted through the trees and over the barren hills, looking for a sign of the clan Camp.

Graycloud nodded her head even though Echowhisper couldn't really see it, Rainstorm trailing behind in the back like a particularly grumpy shadow, his mood souring when they crossed the border, in direct contrast to the others' attitudes. "Yes, it is."

(It is! They live in a high altitude pine forest mountain kind of place though, so there’s still snow in some shady patches. )

Puddlepaw was happy to be able to tell when his weary paws carried him over the Dimclan border and back home finally, the tom letting out a sigh from beside his mentor.

Bringing up the rear, Echowhisper tilted her head curiously when Graycloud smiled back at the patrol. Only when she stepped past a line of strong Dimclan scent did she realize where they were. “So, this is the start of the territory?” Asked the She-cat, stepping through a bit of snow without realizing and shivering.

(I figured it was probably around late greenleaf :3)

Graycloud smiled softly once she stepped over the border, glancing over her shoulder to make sure the other four cats were still following her before continuing onward.

Echowhisper was taking in the scenery silently, stunned by the way the trees had grown taller and pointier, and that there was still snow in some places. It was a rare treat back home, and here it seemed like there were shady patches that still contained the fluffy white stuff almost everywhere, year round!

Finally, a quarter moon after they had left LoveClan, the patrol was approaching DimClan territory. Graycloud led the way, yellow eyes narrowed against the glare of the noon sun.

(Ok!)

(Hm. There was a rogue attack, maybe? Just days before they go back?)

(I can’t think of anything that would have happened, but maybe now things can ramp up again.)

(Hmmm)

(Has anything happened in that time in Dimclan?)

(Mmkay)

(Alright! And they spent like three days there, I think.)

(Yup! It took them a week to get there so it will take them a week to get back)

(And we’re back!)

(Ok!)

(Nah, there’s not really anything I want at the camp. Not unless we switch, obviously, but we can go bring the patrol to LoveClan now)
