Backpacking Adventure (Stormwind)

Oliver spat out the mouthful of tail fur in his mouth to reply, but just as he did the elderly driver brought the car to a slow halt. From Annie's window, they could see the trailhead they were about to embark on, flanked on one side by rolling hills and the other by a magnificent view into the valley below. Unable to help her get out this time, the bobcat instead worked on slinging his gear over his shoulders and helping her get her backpack on as well.

She smacked a hand to her face and she laughed, smacking him with one of her tails, "You don't think I know that?" She giggled, "And pancakes aren't till the morning, you know that" She playfully scolded her best friend.

"Not close enough to a hostel though, so it'll be tent camping tonight!" Oliver replied, clearly growing more and more excited the steeper the road got. "I can already smell the pancakes." He smirked her direction, giving her a light, playful poke to her arm.

She gave a small chuckle, "Honest mistake" She said softly, biting her lip softly as she looked up to her best friend, her tails softly wagging, "We should be able to make some good time once we get to the trail" She said softly.

"My apologies, most of the young couples I take up here are freshly wed." He quickly explained, as Oliver looked to her and smiled awkwardly, again putting his hand behind his head as the drive continued.

Annie was taking a drink from a water bottle when she heard the driver and she ended up spitting her water back into her water bottle, coughing and holding her chest before she looked up, blushing heavily and her ears drooped, "Oh we're not married... He's just been planning this trip since we were kids, so I tagged along" She said quietly, biting her lip softly.

Now Oliver was really blushing, and their driver only made things worse.

"Welcome to Spain, you two. Mind if I ask when the wedding was?"

Oliver looked awkwardly out the window as he tried to hide his profuse, embarrassed blush, his cheeks feeling like they'd become furnaces as he left her to answer.

Anita smiled as she followed Oliver, "Oh, being a gentleman now just cause someone else is here?" She teased her best friend and she softly kissed his cheek in thanks, not realizing how close to his mouth she got before she crawled into the car, her tails curling over herself and she buckled herself in, a couple of her tails softly swaying in her lap.

Before long they found their man, An English Bulldog who was quite clearly a displaced Brit by his accent. While he'd nearly decided to go to London, he figured that he'd have more fun seeing things at his own pace and not the hustle and bustle of such a huge, tourist-filled city, so he'd opted to camp across continental Europe instead. Always the gentleman- well, sometimes the gentleman- Oliver held open Annie's door for her.

Annie slept the last half of the plane ride, jolting awake as they landed and she got up, rubbing the sleep out of her eyes as she followed Oliver, "Okay" She said as she walked beside him, yawning softly, once they found their bags, Annie grabbed hers, making sure she had everything.

Oliver basically looked comatose over in the next seat, and if he heard anything, there was no indication of it when he awoke. As luck would have it, that wasn't long before the plane touched down. "Once we get our luggage, we gotta look for a sign with out names on it, that's the guy I've hired to take us up to the trail." He said as he lead the way across the bustle of the airport towards the baggage claim.

"Nothing as good as the real thing" She chuckled, using a tail and creating a pillow for him, gently moving his head over her curled tail and she gave him a loving smile as he slept, letting out a sigh, "If only.." She murmured, looking out the plane window, "If only I wasn't so dumb... Maybe I could tell you.." She whispered, she was oblivious to how obvious she actually was with her feelings to her friend, she hadn't even made sure he was in a deep enough sleep before she said anything, thinking even if he was awake he couldn't hear her.

"Sure enough." Oliver smirked, looking to her with half-open eyes. "These things are useful, I should get myself some." That was his final quip before he put his head back and drifted off.

She sat at the window and stretched, looking to him and giggling, "Need a blanket?" She flirted playfully, draping her tails over him and almost covering his whole body up to his chest, "Still as soft as the day you tried to use them as a wig" She teased and laughed, smiling softly to her friend.

Oliver similarly blushed at the contact between their fur, noting how soft and warm hers was, while his was naturally a bit shorter and more coarse there.  His chest and stomach area were softer.  Knowing it would be a long time before they set foot on a new continent, he closed his eyes and muttered "I'm gonna try and sleep for a while."

She let him go and followed him to their plane, "Shoulda, but just give me the window and I'll be fine" She chuckled, her tails curling like a skirt again, trying to take up as little space as she could, walking with her arm brushing against her friend's, blushing under her fur as she felt the tingles from their fur touching.

"Yep." Oliver couldn't help but blush a little after her typical playful hug. For some reason, having her arms around him had just always felt so right. "Shoulda bought a third seat for your tails!" He teased playfully as they walked down the walkway and into the plane, smirking teasingly at his best friend.

She relaxed after a couple minutes once alone with him again and she smiled, wrapping her arms around his neck to join in the picture, looking at the camera and smiling, she always playfully hung off him in pictures, her tails raised and wagging happily, after the picture she glanced at the time, "They're starting to board, we better get to our seats" She said.

Knowing her sensitivity to touch, Oliver locked eyes with Annie as he slowly put his free arm over her shoulder in a typical photo pose, then smiled at his phone camera, waited for her to do the same, and took the picture.

Anita followed Oliver, smiling softly as they walked together, she curled her tails around herself tightly when they were going through customs, that caused the male searching her to only search harder, she clearly hated being frisked that much, but it was her own fault, she was always nervous when approached by males now, she even used to be scared of Oliver at one point, but his persistence helped her out of it.

"Basically." The man sighed wistfully, returning his attention to the road. Before long, they had parked and were through security without a hitch, and as the huge airplane pulled up to their gate the bobcat gave Annie a gentle shake. "Cmon, let's go get a picture with the plane!" Before she could answer he was already striding over to the wall of glass windows, working out the perfect angle for the shot.

Her ears perked up as she felt his touch, flinching slightly, her usual when she gets lost in thought, she relaxed when she realized it was just him and she smiled, "Well you have been planning this since we were kids" She giggled softly, one of her tails starting to wag.

"I think I am."  Oliver nodded, pulling out of the parking spot and starting towards the airport.  He looked over and noticed her seemingly out of the moment, so he quickly put a reassuring hand on her shoulder and added "Haven't asked the butterflies in my stomach yet though."

She licked her lips softly before she quickly cleaned, her tails curling around herself in almost a skirt before she grabbed her things and followed him out, throwing her things into the back of his truck, "You ready for this?" She asked with a smile, climbing into the truck and curling her tails over her lap so they wouldn't get caught in the door as she closed it, having done that years ago when the pair were going on a double date with one of her first boyfriends, she had ended up crushing part of one of her tails in the door, she had slammed the door hard enough to cut almost half of one tail off, her boyfriend at the time hadn't even cared, said she deserved it for being so careless, she hesitantly stroked the short tail as the memory ran through her mind.

The bobcat chuckled nervously, putting his hand behind his head as he felt her foot rub against his bare leg, too low to be covered by his athletic shorts. "Well, that's good!" He found himself watching her tails again. He always been mesmerized by them. In fact, they'd met when he got in trouble for trying to wear one as a wig in the first grade. Smirking at the memory, his nostalgia trip was again interrupted by his phone. This time, it was an alarm he'd set to ensure they left for the airport on time. "Time to head out!" He exclaimed happily, the bobcat brushing any crumbs off of his T-shirt as he stood up, holding the front door open for Annie.
