Big Brother's Help

Frost, overwhelmed by the flash of fire and the swarming bats, turned and sprinted back the way they had come, losing track of where his mate was.

Dark let out a massive blast of fire, scorching most of the bats.

The moment he was pushed behind a storm of bats went over their heads and in between them, and Frost let out a terrified yelp, not being able to see more than a few feet in the huge amount of bats.

He growled defensively and he pushed his brother behind him.

He suddenly heard a faint sound coming from up ahead, steadily approaching them. It almost sounded like thousands of animals with tiny wings heading their way.

He chuckled in response and nuzzled his brother.

He smiled and licked his shoulder. "Well, maybe your just my strong, big bro that can handle anything."

"You will someday, I wasn't that much older than you are now when I was able to breathe fire the way I can now" He said.

He huddled next to his mate as blast after blast of light was shot down the tunnel, illuminating the walls. "I wish I could breathe fire that strongly," he sighed wistfully.

Dark shot blasts of fire down the tunnel for them to see easier, walking beside his brother.

"Alright." He began to lead his brother into the dark tunnel.

"We can start there" He said.

He stood back up and frowned uphappily at the idea, but he didn't want to wound his brother's pride. Instead, he just offered his shoulder to lean on, and nodded in a direction of a tunnel. "That way look good?"

"I can walk" He said softly.

He licked his cheek and nodded. "I can carry you for awhile," he offered, squatting down beside him and offering his back.

"Let's get moving, I'll rest when I'm sure we're fine" He said softly.

He snorted but softened his gaze, and leaned down to kiss his cheek. "I didn't want to go with father. I wasn't able to pull out of the dive, so you saved me. Thank you."

"I'm trying to protect you and keep you safe, but you aren't letting me" He said.

"What's up?" he asked, suddenly concerned he had hurt him further.

Dark just flopped down onto his stomach and he hid his face in his paws, his shoulders trembling.

(I know all about it xD)

He jumped up and leaned on his brother to force him back down, as he wasn't strong enough to actually just hold him down. "Just sit, your fucking idiot," he snapped.

(Ugh auto correct lol)

"I said I want to get you out of here" He said and forced himself to painfully stand.

"What?" he asked questioningly, pushed back with the same force as Dark.

He tried to softly push his brother back, "Please... I want to be you our" He breathed out.

He pushed him back down on his side and help him there, eyes narrowed. "No, you're staying there." He moved his jaw over to one wing, preparing to set it in place.
