The female huffed as she curled up, trying to find a comfortable spot before she eventually just sprawled out her entire body, destroying what he had made and getting comfortable taking up as much space as she could, flexing her claws out.

Darrel was about to speak, but sighed softly instead, feeling it a tiny bit as the cougar slipped under the covers with him, the male stripping down to his boxers, which were the single man's typical sleepwear.

She growled as she felt the tugs on the blanket and she got up, jumping off the bed and she sniffed at the cave, turning her back to it and spraying around the edges, claiming the "cave" and she went into it, curling up inside it and she huffed to herself.

Sighing, Darrel muttered to himself as his efforts to make her a cave seemed fruitless, he got onto his side to avoid touching and potentially angering the cougar, facing towards her as he slipped under his covers, leaving the cave intact in case she changed her mind.

Her ears flicked and she watched him, curiously following after him, still wobbly as she walked and was coming off the drugs she had been given, she sniffed around his room, before jumping onto his bed and she growled at him, trying to get him off before she found a spot she found comfortable right smack in the middle of the bed and she curled up, returning to groom herself and lash her tail, licking at the fur over her skinny body.

Darrel watched Scarlet groom herself in a moment of sick fascination. Remembering that cougars preferred to sleep in caves or other natural shelter, he looked around and did the best he could for the weakened wild cat. Untucking the sheets on the foot side of his bed, he stacked a few pillows between the bed and the sheets and comforter, leaving a small, dark cave of sorts for her, the wolf climbing into the other side of the bed.

She flinched back as she saw his hand reach over her head and she growled, pinning her ears and backing off lightly before continuing to eat and she seemed to relax a bit more after a while, she seemed alright with his presence and as letting him pet her, though she seemed to be getting agitated again, her tail lashing and she huffed, finishing the meat and she sat down, curling her body and starting to groom herself like a cat, she began lapping at her folds in a grooming manor, at this angle it was clear she was in heat, but a male cougar hadn't seemed to found her yet while she had been outside.

"Hey..." Darrel strained to read her tag as he recognized it "...Scarlet." Knowing now that the cougar girl had had at least some prior contact with anthros, the wolf man reached up again, high over the food so she didn't worry about him stealing it, and gently stroked the top of her head, finding the fur quite surprisingly soft.

She growled and pulled her paw back, not liking her paws touched, but as soon as she smelt the meat again she practically ignored him now as she started eating the deer, lashing her tail and she huffed, her ears pinned back, one ear flicking more and a tag could be seen with a series of numbers, "#237465" and under it, a name, "Scarlet" she was a tagged female for the cougar conservation program the government was working on, she didn't have any micro chips or anything for tracking, but if she had been shot and killed, and someone tried to sell or skin her, whoever did it would have been fined, most females in the area were tagged since there weren't many, but males weren't tagged as much as females since there were more males than females.

Carefully, after she'd given his hand a lick and a sniff, the man brushed his fingertips non-threateningly over one of her paws, using the other hand to grab a piece of deer for the cougar.

She pinned her ears as she saw his hand nearing her and she growled, backing off lightly before she moved closer and sniffed at his hand, keeping her ears pinned and she hesitantly licked at his hand, smelling the meat on him mostly and wanting more.

"It's alright girl... I'm here to help you sweetie..." he carefully spoke every reassuring phrase he could think of, putting his hand up, back of it facing her, for her to sniff.

She stumbled toward the meat and she started to eat that as well, her tail lashing and she kept her eyes on him, letting out low defensive growls, when she finished that chunk of meat, she looked to him and she stumbled toward the wolf, sniffing at him for more food, realizing pretty quickly that he was helping, though she was still jumpy with sudden movements.

"Here... Darrel cooed softly, holding out another chunk of meat, gloves on his hands to protect him from any disease as he held it out to her, slowly setting the food down on the floor for the cougar and sitting away from it, albeit slightly closer than he had been for the first piece.

She growled loudly and lashed her tail, as she ate she seemed to me waking more, she dug her claws into the table and she kept her eyes on him as she practically inhaled the meat, when she finished, she managed to push herself to stand, trying to get away from him, she ended up miss thinking her jump off the table and she pushed off of the table, shoving the table onto it's side before she collided into the couch, collapsing to the ground and she growled, managing to stand and she stumbled around, trying to find her way out.

Darrel stood completely still a good six feet from her, trying to show that he could be trusted not to steal the cougar's chunk of raw meat as she tore hungrily into it, noting her untrusting glare and feeling a bit bad for the predator.

She growled as she saw his shape close to her and she tried to swipe, but in her dazed state she could barely lift her head, her ears perked lightly as she smelt the meat and she tried to roll up, ending up rolling too much and ending up on her other side, she managed to dig her claws into the meat and she let out possessive growls as she started gnawing on the meat, trying to eat it as fast as she could before it would be stolen, like every other time she hunted, she normally lost her prey to another predator.

"Hey there..." Darrel softly spoke as he carefully approached the cougar from in front of her, making sure she could see all of his slow and deliberate movements. He carefully placed a chunk of deer meat on the table in front of her muzzle before backing off just as slowly.

The cougar was showing signs of waking after a bit, her paws twitching and her tail started to lash, a low growl rose from her as she tried to move, the sedatives still having a good enough hold of her she wouldn't be able to move properly for a couple more hours.

The vet carefully considered his options. There was no way she would last in the wild in that condition. She'd have to be fed first. While he did have a supply of raw meat in his back shed, the product of previous hunts, he wondered where he could possibly house the poor girl, finishing stitching up her wounds and cleaning the blood from her fur.
