Cretatous Survival (Ash)

Oceana relaxed as she heard his return that he was fine.

Trics turned away, lowering her head down, unable to hold in a sob, "For everything... I'm sorry for everything" She cried, flopping down and digging her horns into the ground.

Scowler watched as Trics groomed his side, for the moment he alllwed her to, watching her with a gentle expression before it seemed to harden. “I’ll be fine” he told her huffing out and jostling her head so she wasn’t looking at the wound. Scowler had been about to move away when he herd the apology, Scowler didn’t acknowledge it for a long time, wondering if it had more to do with her leaving, he sighed and nodded, Scowler looked up as Oceana called him, responding assuringly that he was fine.

Trics had braced herself for the impact from the male, looking up as she heard him, whimpering and she gently groomed his side, "I'm fine.. Now you're hurt.." She said quietly, letting out a shaky breath, "I'm sorry" The female whimpered, she couldn't help getting upset over the situation.

Oceana had heard her mate's roar, becoming worried and she gave a worried call to him, though refusing to leave her nest unguarded.

As scowler ran after the smaller male, he gained speed quickly, while the male was large and not very fast to begin with, the male was able to gain speed quickly the more he ran. When he hit the male in front of him, if the male didn’t turn to face him, it no doubt wouldn’t end well for him. Scowler roared out in anger when the male turned, however his eyes narrowed in on Trics and her hatchling and he tried to put the breaks on immediately. By this point however,Scowler was moving to quickly. To avoid a head on collision that would no doubt cause Trics injury the male turned slightly, enough to throw himself off balance and topple himself. As he fell, he roared out in pain when Trics’ horn grazed down his side, luckily however, the graze wasn’t deep. The large male grunted as he pulled himself up off the ground, bleeding lightly but otherwise seemingly okay, “are you alright?” He questioned Trics.

Oceana stood over her nest protectively as her mate chased a male off, she looked around and gave a snort.

Trics grazed calmly near the trees with her hatchlings, she looked up as she spotted the males charging toward them, she turned, trying to usher the hatchlings to safety, but Spike, being stubborn, tried to stand in the way to protect his mother and siblings, her eyes widened as the smaller male turned to get away from Scowler, but Trics knew he wouldn't be able to stop, Trics moved torward her hatchling, bracing herself.

Scowler groaned, but smirked nonetheless "you're killing me" he combined, grazing for a little while longer before laying down near the nest. Scowler turned his attention to a male who was slowly approaching Oceana, the large male snorted a dangerous warning, as he stood up, ready to charge. The male, however, didn't seem to get the message until Scowler was chasing him through the herd, unbeknownst to the larger male, in his effort to get away, the smaller male was leading Scowler's charging body toward Trics' and her hatchlings.

"Its what a mother does" She cooed and chuckled, turning and nuzzling him softly.

Scowler gave her a look yet backed down, brooding, "do you have to suck the fun out of everything?" he asked grumpily, yet still hitting his frill against her rear.

"How are we supposed to watch the nest when we're preoccupied?" She teased her mate.

scowler chuckled, "my idea sounds more fun" he joked and nuzzled her in a dominant manner, sending her soft but intimate calls, the male was eager to work of some built up aggression and steam.

"We have a nest to watch" She teased and grazed, pressing against him softly.

Scowler chuckled when she butted against him with her frill, "i planned on eating you..." he said suggestively yet started to grave near her anyway.

"You need to eat too" She pointed out, moving and she butted against him.

Scowler chuckled and watched her, keeping a close eye on the rest of the herd and the nest aswell.

She rolled her eyes lightly and she chuckled, "Fine fine" She cooed, staying close to the nest as she grazed calmly.

Scowler nuzzled her lovingly before he turned and butted his frill against her rear provocatively, "eat" he ordered, aware he'd interrupted her grazing when he'd walked over.

"No idea" She chuckled, grooming him softly, standing and rubbing herself against him.

Scowler nuzzled her gently, relaxing a little at her words, he gently bucked his horns against hers, "your amazing" he sighed, "how do i deserve you"

She raised a brow, looking to the hatchlings, "That one that keeps trying to topple you seems like a mini you" She murmured, letting out a small laugh, "They look like you sired them to me" She said softly.

Scowler chuckled as he approached her, nuzzling her gently, " I needed it" he allowed sighing, before Scowler settled beside her, "Patchy thinks the hatchlings might not be mine" he told Oceana, wanting her advice, and confiding in her, something he rarely did - with anyone.

Oceana grazed quietly beside her nest, looking up as Scowler came back, nuzzling him softly, "How was your father son talk?" She cooed playfully.

Scowler nodded, thanking Patchy for the talk before he headed back towards Oceana, chasing away a few hatchlings that had been playing quite close to his nest.

Patchy sighed as he stood nearby his father, "Maybe when you're ready... Just talk to her" He murmured, walking back toward his mate, huffing as some males were getting too close.

Scowler nodded at his son, huffing, it seemed their conversation had looped full circle and they were back to the assumption that either the hatchlings were his or she'd voluntarily mated with another male. Scowler looked over, checking on Oceana before looking at Trics for a few moment, eyeing her hatchlings.

"True..." He murmured, "But she would have had to find some other herd... She said she was with some creatures that were like us but not our species" He said.
