Sol could feel his heart break when he saw the ssdness in the dragon's eyes. That was when he realized that he had no horns. Was that why he was shunned by the other Monstrous Nightmares? He moved a hand over to stroke at his nose. "I understand, im sorry that you lost your mate. But i love you, so at least you wont be lonely," he said. Leaning over to press a kiss against his snout. Soon snuggling in close, making sure he avoided any wounds that the dragon obtained. Not wanting to make him mad.

The large male rolled his eyes lightly and he gave a small huff, the female had been his mate once, but after he had been captured by dragon trappers and his horns cut off, he was rejected, he gave a low almost depressed sound as he laid with the human, he laid his head next to the human, a tinge of sadness in his eyes, he was content with the human he just met, but he wasn't sure if he wanted a mate anymore, he wasn't sure he could even win another mate over.

Sol leaned back into the dragon, enjoying the warmth he gave off. "You called for a female, is it because you have no mate?" He asked. Well, dragons instinctively sought out females to breed with. "Im sure you'll find a pretty female," he assured. Closing his eyes in content, glad the dragon was safe and comfortable. He would have hated it if the dragon was killed by the other Monstrous Nightmare that it was fighting.

The large dragon followed the Viking slowly, he was hesitant at first before he moved into the holding area, laying down and he curled himself around the young Viking, letting out a tired huff, letting another Viking close to clean his wounds and dress them, once they were done the pair were left alone, Echo let out a long breath as he laid there.

Sol looked over to the viking, biting his lip as he said that Echo could be kept at the holding area. "Okay, but I'm staying with him." He said. He grabbed his journal, leading Echo to the holding area. "You're going to stay here where it is safe. I want you to heal up." He said, sitting down. Hoping the dragon would settle down and relax. "I'm staying with you, so don't worry." He assured, a soft smile on his face. Pushing his hair out of his face. Placing his book beside him.

The newly named Echo huffed as he raised his head, looking to the Viking, he slowly stood, staying low to the ground, but he at least was standing, his tail lashing lightly, "There's still the holding area at the training hall, we can keep an eye on his wounds from there" One Viking said, managing to come up close and check the dragon over without him flying into a rage.

Sol looked up from the dragon. What was he going to name the Monstrous Nightmare? He looked down, biting his lip in thought. "I'll name him [whatever you want his name to be]." He said, remaining beside the dragon. Of course, he was worried about him. Especially since the dragon couldn't fly. "Can you stand? You cannot stay in this spot. Do you know of a place you can get to where you can heal?" He asked. A frown on his face as he watched the large dragon.

The other Vikings watched as the large dragon let the young Viking close, "Looks like he's chosen you, Sol" One called as the dragon seemed to be calling down, though they stayed back, "What're you going to call him?" Another asked while the dragon sat up slightly, hissing in pain as he licked at his wounds, growling whenever anyone else came too close, his tail lashing and smacking against the ground.

Sol grunted as he was knocked down off of the building. Huffing as he hit the ground, groaning from the pain. Pushing himself up, he ran to see where the dragon had landed. When he made it to the dragon, he winced at the sight of the gashes, hating how he was wounded. He tried to think of what he could do. Pressing a hand against his shoulder, trying to calm him down. "Hey, hey.. relax. You're wounded, just calm down.." he murmured. Placing his book down so he could assess the damage. Making sure he was gentle with his touches.

The dark nightmare looked up as he heard dragons, a flock of other nightmares flying over the village, he gave a roar, a female roared back and tried to fly down, but another male stopped her, the dark coloured male growled and he jumped into the air, flying toward the flock, a fight suddenly breaking out between the two males, the black nightmare losing fairly quickly, he fell from the sky and landed hard in one of the fields, roaring as the flock continued on, the large dragon wounded to the point where he wouldn't be able to fly for a while.

The dark haired male watched as the dragon sniffed at the page. Observing the drawing he had created. What surprised him the most was when the Monstrous Nightmare started to draw into the wood below them. He looked down at it in surprise, not expecting him to draw something like that. When he realized it was a drawing of a viking, he looked up. Smiling from the picture. "It looks lovely, i like it." He said, looking back down to observe the picture once more. When he was finished, he started to wonder what the dragon wanted. Was the dragon going to remain here? Or was he going to take him somewhere? He wasn't sure.

The dragon tilted his head as he watched, sniffing at the page that held his species and he gave a light snort, he looked to the wood below them, he used his claw and began trying to draw, managing to draw a pretty bad looking Viking, but he gave a sound and a very toothy grin like he had made the best thing in the world.

Sol was hesitant, sitting down with the dragon. But as soon as the dragon relaxed, he started to as well. What surprised him the most was the wing that curled around him. He allowed the dragon to see the journal, knowing he was curious. "Um.. this is my journal. I dont like doing what other vikings do, so i just sit and observe dragons. I've never bothered to tame one, since I've been so fixed on my work.." he told the dragon. Flipping the pages to where he had drawn a Monstrous Nightmare. He showed it to him, hoping he had liked it. Vikings observed them both, shocked that the dragon didnt harm Sol. They thought as soon as he was grabbed he would have been eaten.

The large dragon pulled the human up with him, huffing softly as he let the human sit on his own, curling a wing around the human, hissing when dragons flew by him, he snorted lightly as he made himself comfortable, the nightmare seemed to be settling down, sniffing at the Viking and hooking a claw to try to see his book, his tail continuing to lash about as his deep red eyes watched the human.

Sol was pleased to see that they heard him. Good, at least the dragon wouldn't be held captive against it's will. He sighed in content, keeping a firm hold on his journal. He almost jumped once he was grabbed, gasping as he released his book. Arms flailing in an attempt to catch the book. When he grabbed the journal, he pulled it close once more. Heart pounding from almost losing his book. He looked up towards the Monstrous Nightmare, shocked by the way he was acting. He just allowed himself to be held in his grasp. Not wanting to make the large dragon upset. Though he hoped he didn't hurt anyone.

The dragon roared as he tried to fight back, when the other Vikings watched the exchange between the two and thought about it, they slowly, and hesitantly, let the large dragon loose, the black dragon gave a growl, spreading his wings and jumping up onto the roof of a building, hissing loudly, looking to the Viking that seemingly stood up for him, he slowly reached down, trying to pick the other up in his claws, like he was trying to rescue him, hissing at the other vikings, his tail lashing.

Sol watched as he tried to grab the book in his arm. Watching as they tried to drag him back to the holding area. "Hey! Hey! Leave him alone!" He shouted, trying to get them to release the dragon. "Some dragons are just meant to stay wild. Let him go!" He said. Hating that they weren't listening to him. Some dragons cannot be tamed, and they are just meant to remain free. Why can't the vikings understand that? He firmly held his book, refusing to drop it as he yelled at the vikings pulling the dragon back.

The large dragon gave a loud snort, his tail giving a mighty thrash, knocking some Vikings back, his wings spread and he rose up higher, roaring toward the Viking before he lowered down with a crash, the flames leaving his scales and he raised a claw, he seemed curious as he tried to grab at the book, backing off with a roar as ropes and chains were thrown over him to try to get him back to his holding area, he burst into flames again and roared.

Sol never had been interested in breaking dragons. He was more interested in reading about them, studying from their behavior. He wrote in his journal about the dragons he observed. Sol also enjoyed drawing pictures of the dragons, making sure each sketch was detailed. His head lifted from his journal, watching as town cowered in fear. Why were they hiding? What's gotten them so scared?
Looking up, Sol nearly dropped his book. He's never seen a Monstrous Nightmare like this, so he was in awe. The dragon was looking right at him, obviously more interested in him than any other viking. He pressed his journal close to his chest, watching the dragon circle him. "I'm.. not a threat to you. I'm not armed like the others," he said. Hoping the dragon saw that he wasn't carrying a weapon.

A bellowing roar rang out from the dragon training hall as plumes of fire and smoke rose into the air, a massive monstrous nightmare had been caught trying to take fish and sheep from the village and he had been caught, the best of the dragon trainers had tried for months to tame the black beast, but he was still very aggressive, he finally managed to break out, flying into the air and snarling out as dragons tried to stop him, he roared, his body bursting into dark flames and he rushed down toward the farms, though something caught his eye, he turned suddenly, landing in the middle of the town, rising to his full height, flames still surrounding his body as he stared down at a human he hadn't seen, most of the village besides young children tried to tame him, this one interested him, he didn't look much like the other's, he began to circle the Viking, sniffing and growling lowly.
