Devils' Flight

Knox shrugged, “fine. Keep the bird” he growled gently, “but don’t think this entitles you to confiscate every meal.”

She frowned toward him, "Never eaten a bite of meat in my life, it was easier before, when we didn't need to hide" She huffed, "We could grow anything and be perfectly content, the animals helped us" She said.

Knox chuckled darky, “I see” he gestured to her malnourished body, “and I suppose your proof of this.”

"You don't need meat to survive" She huffed, managing to snatch the bird from him and she cuddled the bird softly.

Knox narrowed his eyes dangerously, “your willing to starve to save it?”

"Trying to stop your cruelty to the poor creature" She snapped back harshly, despite her fear of him she didn't like the creature being hurt, "Just let it go" She frowned.

Knox turned to her in surprise, baring his fangs as she approached attempting to take the bird. “What are you doing” he demanded.

She woke as she heard the cries of the bird, she rushed out and tried to take it from him, "Don't hurt it" She cried.

Knox left her in the bed, leaving the mountain to hunt, he returned sometime later with a large and alive (but badly injured) bird.

She flinched as she was picked up but didn't wake, too exhausted from the day before to even wake when she was moved.

Knox noticed her shivering and growled in annoyance, picking her up gently and setting her down in the bed.

Veta was trembling softly as she tried to curl up as tightly as she could with the blanket, both cold and scared as she slept, her sides still bleeding quite a bit from his claws.

When Knox woke, he frankly was surprised to see her still on the ground by the fire, it amused him how she'd slept on the floor in favour of with him.

She flinched as he spoke, letting out a breath and she whimpered, sniffling to herself as she cried quietly, staying huddled up in the blanket, eventually she out the fire out and curled up to sleep.

Some time later, Knox passed her on his way back to the bedroom, growling gently, "try not to burn yourself" he huffed, before stretching out on the bed.

She was stimulated huddled close to the fire, shivering and she hesitantly took the clothes and food, dressing herself and she slowly ate, coughing softly.

Knox returned sometime later with clothes and food for her, seemingly still annoyed she'd jumped off the cliff, he handed her the clothes and food before dismissing her.

She was too cold to even fight him, she almost would have leaned into him if she wasn't petrified of him, she scrambled away from him when she was released again, giving in and she made a fire inside, finding a blanket and she wrapped it around herself, staying close to the fire.

Knox looked down to the water when she fell in, growling he returned to the lake in time to see her change from fish. He ignored her protests and picked her up, holding her close in an attempt to warm her, returning to the cave within minutes. He set her on the ledge, "get yourself warm, i'll be back."

She flinched as he came close to her, she whined as she cowered below him, looking up as she watched him fly up, breathing out, she muttered softly to herself as she tried dragging herself along the ice, crying out as the ice suddenly broke, she fell into the freezing water and fought to stay up, when she fell beneath the ice and water, she just barely saw some fish swimming on the bottom, she quickly touched one, shifting into a fish and she jumped from the water, landing hard on the ice again and she shifted back to her normal form, breathing heavily and crying.

Knox landed hard next to her, the ice cracking beneath his weight, he glared dangerously at the angel, "how about you stay out here" he grinned, "i'm sure you'd have changed your mind about me in the morning, presuming your still alive that is" he loomed down, "or maybe you'll be really unlucky and another demon finds you" he stood back up and spread his wings, flying back upwards.

She cried out in pain as he grabbed her, she tried to fight him off untill he dropped her, crying out as she landed hard on the ice, breathing heavily as she tried to drag herself across the ice, whimpering in pain.

Knox glared at her words, baring his dangerous fangs as she jumped he dove off the mountain behind her, easily matching her falling speed with a few heavy beats of his wings. When he caught up to her, his claws melted into her flesh like butter, causing injury to her waist where he'd caught her. He growled dangerously in her ear, allowing them to fall further to show her an ice lake at the bottom of the mountain, as he hovered over it, he abruptly dropped her.

She panted heavily as she stood trembling near the edge of the cliff, glaring toward him, "I'd rather die than have your devil spawn" She snapped, breathing hard before she glanced down the slope, looking back toward the male before she let herself fall from the ledge, pushing herself off slightly so she wouldn't just hit the mountain.

Knox looked up in surprise when she ran, grumbling the large male followed after her, his eyes glowing as he approached the edge where she was standing. "You won't make it" he warned her, "if i have to follow after you, trust me, you won't like what happens next." he growled, "come here. now."
