Devils' Flight

She raised a brow lightly as she watched him, "Well... I guess it will have to be something strong... With large wings" She began, "Hard to damage incase someone else comes" She murmured, looking up toward the male.

Knox grinned charmingly, "any preferences?" he asked, seeing an opportunity to impress the female with his hunting ability.

"I'll stay" She said softly, "As long as I can change into something that flies I should be able to get around on my own" She said.

He nodded, "we need to find you a safe way down aswell for when i'm not here...assuming you stay close to the mountain of course" he growled a little sternly.

She looked up toward him and she gave a soft smile, "Thank you... It means a lot" She said softly.

Knox watched her for a moment, "I'll take you down tomorrow and you can gather anything you want..."

She frowned as he spoke about food, biting her lip and she sighed, "I-If we have to... Please kill it away from me... And please don't make me eat it.. I'd much rather grow my own food" She pleaded softly.

Knox considered her words, tilting his head, "reasonable" he allowed, suddenly eyeing the bird, "we're going to need to discuss food arrangements."

"I'll do what you want.. Willingly.." She murmured to him, slowly standing and she looked up toward the male, "But we both try to be more open minded toward one another.." She said, hesitantly placing a hand on her flat stomach, "I'll let you fill me for the rest of my life... But on my terms.. Deal?" She asked softly.

Knox's eyes glowed with interest, "what do you have in mind?"

"Because I've seen what demons do to angels, I was scared" She said, jolting and shivering as she felt the shock through her wings, her wings fluttering slightly, "Well... Maybe you don't have to go that far..." she said, letting out a breath, "I'll.. cooperate... But maybe we do things a little differently... Slower" She murmured.

Knox chuckled darkly, "if i had tried to court you properly, you would have denied me. The second you saw me you ran, that doesn't seem very open minded to me...still..." he ran a finger over her wings, sending a soft jolt through her, "maybe i should go and set you down and do all of this properly," he grinned.

"No offence, but if you demons at least tried to see things our way and tried to court us, I know quite a few angels that willingly went with demons because they tried to change" She said, "All most demons do is try to just use us as baby machines, it doesn't really help us feel equal... Why do you think angels willingly breed with other species?" She said, wincing as she shifted her position slightly.

Knox raised his eyebrows at her words, "decades ago most demons, myself included rebelled against the capturing of angels...but it's not like we have much of a choice now" he huffed, "demons are dying out just as quickly as angels because procreation is impossible."

"We've never needed it until recently... Usually the men would dabble in combat, but not enough to defend our whole race, clearly" She sighed as she hung her head, "We've always tried to help others... But yet no other races stood with us to help" She said.

Knox nodded as he considered this, "It always fascinated me that angels never seem to have dangerous gifts, that is you know...powers that cause harm" he eyed the bird for a moment, "it would be reasonable to assume that angels needed offensive gifts...for protection."

"How does what work?" She asked, raising a brow before she realized what he was mentioning, "It's kinda hard to explain.. only a select few of us are able to heal through only silent prayer" She said softly, "Some must sing to heal, I do sometimes when it requires more power" She said, looking to the bird and smiling as it nuzzled her again, "It's just an act of kindness, it's nothing, it's in our nature to help others that need it" She said to the demon.

Knox noticed her ability, and spoke up, "how does it work?" he was referring of course, to her ability.

Veta seemed to pay no mind to the demon, just stroking the bird softly, using a little of her own magic to heal the bird, despite its ability to now fly away, the bird cuddled up to the angel and chirped, the creature seemingly willing to stay with the female.

Knox slowly approached her from behind, his wings unusually tucked behind his rather large and imposing form. He tilted his head as he supervised her interactions with the bird.

The angel smiled and gave a soft laugh as the bird nuzzled close to her, she stroked the bird and smiled softly.

Knox watched the angel curiously, he never much understood her breed and found that his intelligence on the matter not becoming any further advanced.

She sighed as she tented to the bird, stroking its head softly.

He growled gently, unsure now of how best to approach the angel.

She shot him a glare before she went to a far corner, making a little nest for the bird and she set it inside, beginning to tend to its wounds.
