We’re On An Adventure (Stormwind)

“Yes!” Lady shouted back, practically exhausted by this point despite the fact it was only just past sunhigh. The winds had started up a couple of hours ago and had been battering them ever since.

Newton had to yowl over the forceful wind to be heard. “Do you want to find a place where we can rest!?”

Smaller and lighter than Newton as she was, Lady was having an even more difficult time against the wind than Newton. The tabby she-cat had had to unsheathe her claws in order to make any headway, not that they helped much as the ground was all stone. She struggled against the wind a few pawsteps behind Newton, ears pinned back as she tried to continue onward.

Newton struggled against the biting chill of the wind, having to lower his head against the dreadful buffering he was receiving. It didn’t help that he’d slipped off of a rock and sprained his shoulder some time ago, an injury that hadn’t had a chance to heal fully thanks to their journey. And now they were struggling against the wind, the tom glancing back to make sure Lady was keeping up as they climbed into the mountains.

(Mmkay. You start the skip?)

(Alright! We’ll say Newton hurt himself and has had to limp as a result.)

(*does random number generator* A moon it is, then! Maybe one of them got injured and that slowed them down?)

(Hmm. Maybe it took them 3 weeks or a moon to get there?)

(I don’t know how much of the journey you want to RP, but the furthest forward I think they should be is at the mountains where the Tribe live.)

(How long of a Time skip and where will they be?)

(Time skip? Also, I figured it would take them longer than the Clans to get there, as despite the fact that the Clans had kits and elders and they’re two young healthy cats, the Clans had a lot more cats to fight off threats)

Newton wondered to himself what new trials the two of them would face as they resumed their trek towards the clans, keeping his gaze thoughtfully focused on the horizon as he pondered what could wait for them over it.

Lady hurried after him.

Newton blushed a little when Lady nuzzled him, but nodded quickly, trying to disguise his embarrassment with bravado. “This way, then,” Mewed The tom, raising his tail and heading towards the clans once more.

Lady nuzzled him with a purr. “Now we know where to go!”

Newton smiled proudly. “An old cat that lived in a dumpster by me taught me that.”

Lady blinked in surprise. “Newton, that’s brilliant!”

“Assuming their meeting happens after sunset, then the moon would be over there, since it would still be rising.” Newton explained, flicking his ears toward the horizon in one direction. “And in my dream I think the moon was on my left.” He turned to be facing the proper direction. “So if we sun on our left while it’s rising and on our right while it’s falling, and do the same with the moon, we’re headed the right way!”

Lady looked puzzled.

Newton sighed. “The Moon wasn’t on the horizon, it was up higher. So it must’ve been after sunset, not before sunrise. Which means...” The tom glanced to the sun as it started to light up the sky, doing some quick thinking.

Lady shrugged. “Maybe it was tradition?”

Newton grumbled to himself, thinking back to his own dream. “It wouldn’t make a lot of sense for them to meet before dawn, would it?”

Lady shrugged. “How am I supposed to know that?”
