We’re On An Adventure (Stormwind)

Lady had to unsheathe her claws once the wind started to blow strongly again, desperately scrabbling at the stone as she struggled after the two older cats.

Stormfur occasionally glanced over his shoulder to ensure the pair of younger cats were still with him, or to glance back at the storm clouds with concern, but he didn’t speak, starting to pant softly as the wind shifted directions to blow forcefully at their backs.

Lady also had to struggle to keep up, the tabby she-cat still just generally younger and softer than the two toms.

Stormfur picked up the pace as he turned back around, which proved to be pretty hard for Newton to match with his shorter legs and scratched-up paw pads.

Lady stared at the distant storm clouds warily, her tabby fur bristling. She really, really didn't want to get caught up in that.

Newton dipped his head against the wind, which had not seemed to let up in the time they spent with the Tribe.

Stormfur narrowed his eyes, turning around to face the way the pair had entered the mountains from. Dark clouds greeted him, still a ways off but threatening all the same.

“With that much wind, a storm is certain to come this way. We need to move quickly.”

Lady hurried after the two toms, immediately shivering once they left the cave and the wind sliced through her pelt.

Stormfur soon returned, waving his tail as a gesture for Newton and Lady to follow him out of the cave. Newton quickly followed behind, not wanting to get left behind by the Tribe cat.

Lady kneaded the ground with her forepaws, shifting impatiently and fluffing out her pelt.

Stormfur didn’t seem to mind Lady’s abrupt, impatient demand for them to leave. “Let me tell my mate where I’m going; I’ll be right back.” The tom quickly padded off to the other end of the cave then, speaking with a pretty she-cat.

Newton stood, shaking his pelt out in preparation to leave the comfort of the cave for the chill outside.

“Hi,” Lady mewled. “Can we go now?” She blushed a little when she realized how rude she sounded.

“Hello again,” mewled Stormfur, grooming his shoulder briefly.

Lady blinked up at the older tom.

After word came to Stormfur of his assignment, the tom approached the pair of younger cats happily.

Newton watched Stormfur come up with his tail flicking idly.

Lady blinked at his odd goodbye but didn’t say anything, waiting for Stormfur.

Stoneteller dipped his head. “May the spirits guide you,” murmured the tom lowly, before turning around to talk to some of the guards.

Lady smiled up at him. “Thank you!”

Stoneteller glanced between the pair for a moment before dipping his head. “If you’re sure. I’ll have Stormfur escort you to the edge of our territory.”

Lady cast a quick glance at the cave entrance. “Well, we were hoping to leave as soon as we could.”

After a moment Stoneteller dismissed the guards, glancing to Lady and Newton. “What do you need?” Asked the tom, tilting his head in the direction of the younger cats.

Lady waited patiently for him to finish speaking to the other cat.

Newton followed. At that exact moment Stoneteller was talking to some of his cave guards, and didn’t glance towards the pair of travelers just yet.

Lady led the way back over to Stoneteller.

Newton nodded. “I guess we should.”

“I guess we should tell Stoneteller we’re leaving?” Lady said uncertainly.
