Fallen Holly Leaves (Storm)

Holly Leaves seemed to snap out of whatever she’d been thinking about, the sad look disappearing from her eyes. “What?”

Fallen Leaves noticed the sad look Holly Leaves was giving him, turning towards her with a concerned look in his eyes. “Holly Leaves?” Mewled the tom questioningly.

(I know a little bit about what it’s about, having read a few fanfictions, but I don’t actually watch stuff much. I’m more into reading.)

Holly Leaves blinked at her mate, still looking a little sad and wistful.

Jayfeather turned back to Half Moon and started to talk to her.

When Holly Leaves finally padded away, Fallen Leaves joined her, having kept his back turned during the whole ordeal.

(If you’ve never seen it before, I highly recommend Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood on Netflix! I know it’s a bit older but I didn’t have the opportunity to see it until it came out there. It’s really good!)

Holly Leaves felt her brother’s scrutiny and glanced briefly at him before quietly padding away, brushing past Half Moon, who had left the Cave of Pointed Stones sometime during Shy Fawn’s kitting.

Jayfeather noticed the look in his sister’s eyes, tilting his head curiously to her.  I can’t sense emotions here, but I can tell she’s feeling something strongly.

(I remember you asked about fandoms a little while back. I have a new one to add! :3 )

Shy Fawn curled around her kits, letting them suckle.

Holly Leaves had an odd expression on her face as she stared down at the newborn kits, something of a mixture between sorrow, longing, and pain.

Jayfeather then scooted the fourth kit up to Shy Fawn’s belly.

Holly Leaves sighed and looked at Shy Fawn, who had tucked the other three kits close to her belly.

With a bit more work, Jayfeather got the kit to cough up the fluid he and Hollyleaf had sensed was in his lungs.

Holly Leaves scowled at her brother irritably.

“Move,” Jayfeather Mewed flatly, bumping Hollyleaf out of the way and starting to rub the Tom’s chest to coax the liquid out of his lungs.

Holly Leaves did glance up at that. “There isn’t enough room for both of us and you weren’t doing anything!”

“I heard.” Jayfeather Replied. “Now let me help.”

Holly Leaves didn’t look up from the kit she was working on. “He’s got liquid in his lungs,” she said by way of explanation.

Jayfeather narrowed his eyes. “Hollylea- Leaves, What are you doing?”

Holly Leaves frowned and judged her brother aside, gently massaging the tiny chest.

Jayfeather closed his eyes as he pressed his ear to the kit’s chest, his mind whirling as he tried to think of ways to get the tom breathing properly.

Both Shy Fawn and Holly Leaves looked worried at his words.

Jayfeather frowned. “This one isn’t breathing right,” The tom Murmured, rolling the kit onto its back to try and work out whatever was wrong.

Shy Fawn went limp at the sudden cessation of pain before lifting her head to look over her kits.

Jayfeather purred loudly, taking the fourth kit and nipping its sac open before pressing his ear to its chest to hear it breathe.

Shy Fawn yowled out in pain, finally managing to push the golden tabby tom out.

“Keep pushing!” Jayfeather mewled out encouragingly, placing the third kit at her mother’s belly. “This May be the last one.”

Shy Fawn whimpered, her claws scraping against the ground as she strained, pushing.
