He ruffled his fur uncomfortably. "No. I just thought that none of them would be mine."

"Did you ever think they'd just be from one tom after what you saw?" She huffed.

He smiled sheepishly and licked her ear. "Yeah, well, it's just hard to believe. I never thought one of them would be mine."

"I'd assume so, we did get at it a few times because of me" She chuckled tiredly.

"Wait, she's mine? This little one is really mine?" He questioned, quivering with barely suppressed delight as he nuzzled Maple, purring loudly. Tail flicking repeatedly, he gazed down at his daughter, whom was just as black-furred as he was.

Maple breathed hard and laid her head down, "And one even looks like you" She purred, through her pregnancy she had gotten rather horny and continuously begged Hornet to fuck her, resulting in a kit looking like him.

"They're beautiful," Hornet breathed, his eyes shining as he looked down at the multi-colored litter. Even though none of them were his (?) he still felt as proud as if all of them had been.

After long hours of labour, Maple curled around eight large mewling kits, two kits didn't survive the birth but that was because they were the youngest, by the time their siblings were born they had ran out of air, the new queen gently groomed her kits as they started nursing, they were many different colours due to all the toms the she-cat had been forced to pleasure, but the smallest looked nearly identical to Hornet.

Hornet took over cleaning the kit from her once the next kit made its desire to be free known, rubbing and licking its fur the wrong way. Finally having something to do, his anxiety faded a little.

She panted heavily and sat up again, licking the kit as it slid from her birth canal and into the world, giving tiny squeaks and squirming quite a bit, Maple panted and chewed through the umbilical cord then cleaned the kit, though her break wasn't long before the next kit wanted free.

"Come on, come on," he muttered, his gaze flitting from the kit and her lower end to her face. Covering her face in licks, he said, "I know you can do it. Just keep pushing."

Maple flopped back down and continued trying to push the first kit out, her face contorted in pain and her ears back.

Hornet squeaked, jumping in surprise. He stared at the kit with wide eyes.

Maple gave a cry as she tried to push, she breathed heavily and she sat up, starting to lap at the head of the first kit as it started coming out.

"Come on, Maple, you can do it," he encouraged her, briefly stopping his pacing to give her ears a soothing lick. Tail lashing worriedly, he waited for the first kit to appear.

The she-cat breathed heavily and tensed as she felt a large contraction, she mewled in pain and tried to push, her stomach was rather large, meaning she either had large kits or a large litter.

Hornet paced back and forth worriedly, staring down at his best and only friend. He'd never had to deal with a kitting she-cat before so he didn't have the faintest clue what to do. Too bad they didn't have a former medicine cat with them.

A few months later, the she-cat, now just going by Maple, breathed hard as she laid in her shared nest with the tom, she had turned up pregnant and she had been alone for a couple days when she went into labor.

She pressed close and started calming.

He tentatively nuzzled her, trying to calm her down.

She breathed hard and looked up at him, her ears back.

He squeaked. "Mapleleaf, it's okay! It's just me! Stay still, you'll hurt yourself!"
