Calm Before The Storm (Storm)

"A deer who hunts?" Emerald's first observation came through as she slowly dropped the combative posture. "Fair enough, that sort of insanity seems to run amok here. Name's Emerald." She locked eyes with him for the first time, noting with frustration that he was slightly taller. "If you're going to take my gold as thanks, then just hurry up and do it." She cast a bag on the ground between them, coins clinking audibly within the small pouch.

Able calmly stood up after she started sizing him up, putting his bow on his back, looking at the wolf infront of him. He jokingly said, "I must say, isn't a thank you in order?" He had a bright grin at his joke, looking at her playfully. He however coughed slightly before saying more professional, "Um.. well I'm Able. I'm the main hunter for a few shops around here. I'm sorry if I came off rude."

Emerald watched the arrow fly past her and strike true in the third enemy. Adrenaline pumping through her, still acting on instinct, she turned to face Able, lip curled up in a snarl as she sized him up, trying to determine if he was planning his next shot for her.

Able blinked in surprise as the raider fell past him, startling him some but not enough to say anything. He however could see better now that some of the mist had clear out so he easily saw the third raider behind the mage. He quickly thought if he should help or not but decided in the end to help. Loading his bow up with an arrow from his quill, he took aim before letting the arrow fly. It flew past the mage's head and right into the raider's chest.

Emerald unleashed a rain of sharp green crystals from one of her palms, riddling one of her would-be assailants with shards.  When one of the raiders came up behind her, she shoved her staff back, hitting him painfully in the gut with the blunt bottom of her staff.  The breath knocked out of him, he keeled over, falling right past Able, only to be pinned to the ground as she froze his arms to the cobblestone street at the elbows.  She did not, however, notice the deer hunter, or the third burglar, slowly creeping up behind her with a rather menacing dagger in his hand.

Able frowned slightly as he was blind in the purple mist. He knew better than to move any, for sure he would be whacked in the head with a staff. He however was impressed with the mage, she being very good at what she did. He however had a few tricks of his own. He however finally started to move some, hoping not to run into Emerald. He really didn't want a bump on his head.

Emerald closed her eyes and bowed her head, completely motionless. The thieves snickered and moved in for the kill. When they had surrounded her in a tight ring, she suddenly raised her staff and brought it down hard, rattling the buildings around them as a wave of purple mist spread outwards from her staff, blasting the thieves backwards and creating a thick cloud which nobody could see through besides Emerald herself. The thieves regained their senses and growled, beginning to slash wildly in the mist in search of a lucky hit. The mist soon engulfed Able as well.

Able was walking around the city of where most of his supplies went to. Today was his day off from hunting, having enough money for a few weeks. However he heard something that caught his attention.

Getting down, he slowly worked his way over to where the sounds were, his trusty bow and arrow ready to shoot and kill if need be.

"The cloak is not for sale." Emerald growled, locking eyes with the gang of three thugs closing in around her.

"We didn't want to buy. We were looking for a trade." The first spoke.

"Yeah, yeah, a trade!" The second chimed in in a quieter, raspier voice, a glare from the third quickly silencing him.

"Your cloak, obviously of high quality, and a little favor, in exchange for your safe passage through Felinclaw." The first continued.

"Not one step closer." Emerald warmed the trio of common thieves. Why had se decided to come through the biggest city in the Southern Isles?

Appearance: A white-furred wolf anthro with green eyes.  Her chest and fur, mostly obscured by her armor, is cream-colored.  The rest of her white fur is splotched with black. Wears an embroidered hooded shroud and body armor, as well as leg plates and simple leather shoes.
Class: Mage
Weapon: A long wooden staff, which she can swing at close enemies in a pinch, and a knowledge of both good and dark magic.
Other: usually very cold and not particularly receptive to new anthros, but will partner up with another if it makes the most logical sense.

Appearance: He is a deer furry, being about a normal human height. He is a dark brown with white/tan fur that goes from under his jaw down to his stomach. He usally wears a black-brown shirt with a fur covered jacket. He wears brown pants along with black shoes. He wears a necklace that has a dragon on it.
Class: Hunter
Personality: He is a gentleman, helping anyone out who needs it to holding doors open. He loves all animals and other furries, even though he doesn't care much about when he's attack.
Weapon: A homemade crossbow and a dagger
