The Stolen Troop

Taka held her close pressing his head to hers, "you can do this baby" he pressed his hand to her back, rubbing it gently.

Vera gripped onto her mate, whining out loudly as she had to start pushing, "B-baby..." The blind female whined in pain.

Taka wanted to chase Tovak, but noticed Vera and ran over to her, snarling at the state of her body, but worried, the large male pulled her so she was slightly elevated on his leg.

Tovak left before Taka could get there, Vera trembling as she laid in the middle of her destroyed nest, whimpering in pain, multiple cuts and bruises littering her body, but that wasn't the worst, the sudden beating and stress caused her labor to start, the female whining loudly as a contraction wrecked through her.

Taka looked when he heard his mate, letting out a growl the large male charged toward the hollowed out tree with a roar.

The males backed down, except for one, Tovak, while Taka was distracted, he had found Navera, the male beating the pregnant female, shoving her face into the dirt to keep her quiet, but she did manage a few cries to her mate.

Taka growled, hitting his foot on the ground, snorting out as he slowly turned making sure there were no more challengers.

As Taka began showing more dominant displays, more and more males backed down, some even pushing food they had to the new leader.

Taka roared at the few approaching males, beating his chest in a dominate display, inviting a challenger to step forward.

Most males seemed to back down when Taka got there, though some closer to his size tried to soze him up.

Taka growled at the two, "knock it off" he warned, as of this moment, the large male intended to take the troop and fight anyone who tried to stop him.

Navera gave a whimper as she felt him go, "Taka..." She murmured quietly, too nervous to follow him, listening as the males continued to fight one another, the two young males looking up as Taka approached.

Taka decided enough was enough, he gently set Vera down before kissing her gently, "i'll be back" he promised, heading out towards the two duelling males., eager to assert his leadership into the group, hopefully this would make Tovak hesitate before trying anything again.

Navera stayed pressed close to her mate, looking up slightly as young males were still dueling yo establish the pecking order.

Taka cuddled her close, casting an eye out over the troop.

The female stayed close to her mate, happily picking at some of the fruits even if she wasn't hungry anymore, stroking her belly softly, feeling kicks from the unborn inside.

Taka picked at her scraps, the large male messily eating large pieces of fruit with one hand, while the other rubbed her belly.

Navera ate her fill, rubbing her belly softly.

Taka continued to hold her lovingly, cuddling her softly as she ate.

She thanked him and ate quietly, letting out a grunt at a particularly hard kick, but nothing out of the ordenary.

Taka pulled her to sit between his legs, setting the food in her lap as he started to touch and stroke her belly lovingly.

She gave a soft call to her mate as she listened to him return, reaching for him softly.

Taka collected an arm full of food before returning it all to his mate.
