Fallen Holly Leaves (Storm)

Fallen Leaves awoke fairly early, letting out a distressed mewl when he cast a glance at Jay’s Wing’s nest and found it was still empty. Where had his friend gone?

(I know, it’s so sad)

Dawn came all too soon, and the cats started to awaken.

(Aww :c )

Fallen Leaves went back to sleep soon after, pressing his nose into Holly Leaves’ pelt once more.

Half Moon quietly slipped past her sleeping Tribemates, heading to the Cave of Pointed Stones. Tomorrow, she’d tell them what Jay’s Wing has told her and take up her title of Stoneteller, but right now she just wanted to grieve for the life she could have had.

Fallen Leaves lifted his head as he slept beside Hollyleaf when Half Moon padded past him, not having expected the pawsteps. He was even more confused by Half Moon being alone, with Jay’s Wing’s nest empty.

Half Moon stood there, watching him walk away, waiting for him to be out of sight before she even thought about returning to the cave.

“I-I’ll never forget you either!” Jayfeather called back, cursing himself as his eyes welled up with tears once more.

Half Moon watched him go for a short while before she called out after him, “I’ll wait for you forever, Jay’s Wing!”

Jayfeather turned towards the mountain pass, looking out over the scenery with his paws momentarily rooted in place. Finally, however, the gray tom turned and gave Half Moon one last lick on the muzzle, then turned his back to her, starting to walk away.

Half Moon nudged him more forcefully this time. “Go. You’re just making it harder on both of us.”

The tom lowered his head. “I don’t want to leave you either...”

Half Moon gently nudged him. "You can't stay, Jay's Wing," she said softly. "You know that; you told me so yourself."

Jayfeather knew what she said was right- his clanmates might be needing him soon. But, how could he just leave Half Moon behind? What if she was about to have his kits? What if...?

Half Moon gently touched her nose to his for a brief moment before pulling back. "You need to go. You've probably lingered long enough."

Jayfeather sighed again, not knowing what else to say as he stared into Half Moon’s beautiful, beautiful eyes.

(Heads for yes, tails for no *flips best two out of three* Yes, it is!)

"I know," Half Moon murmured, gazing into his eyes.

(Sure! XD)

Sighing, Jayfeather eventually pulled his face out of her fur, his blue eyes Geary and his mewl resigned as he looked over at The she-cat. “I have to leave soon...” Mewed The tom softly, clearly regretting it.

(Should I flip a coin? XD)

Half Moon rested her muzzle in between his ears with a quiet purr.

Jayfeather stood up once Half Moon did, his breathing strained and shaky as he pushed his face into Half Moon’s fur.

(I don’t know, it could go either way. )

Half Moon nuzzled his neck, taking a deep breath as she tried to remember his scent, before she pulled away from him, shuddering as his member slipped out of her.

(Does Half Moon have his kits or no?)

Unable to help blushing at Half Moon’s words, even as he lay with his member still inside her, Jayfeather replied with “So will I, Half Moon...”

Half Moon took in a deep, shuddering breath. “It doesn’t matter where you are, I’ll always love you.”

Jayfeather felt his heart sink as Half Moon pressed her head into his chest. How can I do this to her?

Half Moon whimpered quietly at the reminder, turning her head to bury her face in his chest.

“Half Moon... I cant stay forever.” Jayfeather finally admitted to himself the truth after a few long, nearly silent moments of snuggling up with the she-cat.
