This Is Wrong But It Feels So Right (Stormwind)

"Blackpaw." He replied curtly, introducing himself with a respectful dip of his head. "Redstar's a bit of a drag. I'm his apprentice, so he's always watching me."

Mallowstar wrapped her tail around her paws, looking up and down the tom like she was assessing whether he was telling the truth or not. She focused her gaze on his face. "Okay. What's your name?"

"I was going to ask that, actually." Blackpaw replied, his eyes each shining bright in their respective colors under the moonlight. "I really look up to you as a leader. I was just interested in small talk, whatever you feel like talking about."

The red and white she-cat blinked at the full-grown tom, tipping her head to one side slightly. "Hello," she greeted him. "May I help you?"

Blackpaw gave a quick check to make sure Redstar wasn't watching him. When he confirmed he wasn't, the apprentice padded over to Mallowstar. "Hey," he said casually, sitting down and looking relaxed to show his intent was for a friendly, non-leader-matters conversation.

It didn't take long before the leaders had finished reporting and they concluded the gathering, but as usual, the Clans hung around for a bit to talk to each other. Leaping down from the Great Pine, Mallowstar swept her leaf green gaze around the clearing before sitting down, taking a moment to relax in the peace. She didn't get one very often.

Blackpaw watched Mallowstar's every move and every mannerism. He wanted to be leader of Lakeclan someday, and he admired her more than his own leader, Redstar. Mainly, his distaste for Redstar was because of his careful eye on Blackpaw of late, which had prevented him from taking part in some of his normal 'activities.'

Mallowstar nodded respectfully to Miststar and Redstar when they leaped up to join her, allowing both of them go speak before her. It wasn't like she had pressing news, anyway.

Blackpaw regarded the Meadowclan leader with admiring eyes.  First again.  She's a hard worker, but maybe too hard.. She looked as if she almost never got a break from the stressful duties of running a clan.

Mallowstar sat on top of the Great Pine, watching as the two other Clans, LakeClan and ForestClan, entered the Gathering Hollow to join her Clan.

Blackpaw padded along with the rest of Lakeclan's contingent as they made their way to the Gathering. The moon was full and the sky was clear, and everything that had happened over the past moon boded well for this meeting of the clans to be a peaceful one.
