A Cat's Only Payment [Stormwind]

Lark chuckled, though he noticed when Blu jumped down that the poor male seemed to have been fixed by the upwalkers. sucks to be him was his only thought, the tom purring softly before jumping down from the tower and padding several laps around the room as his mate and Scout continued to talk.

Scout's ears pinned back when she mentioned their kits. "Well, we hit a snag in that. The twolegs, they fixed Blu." He admitted, looking down at his paws a bit. "I'm still good to go I guess, but we haven't found anyone who would do it yet."

"I swear he likes her more than me" He grunted as he watched the box, "Might as well just let them be mates" He teased and jumped off the cat tree, heading toward a bowl of food, his tail lashing.

"Didn't you mention something about you and Blu finding a she-cat to have your kits? Did that happen?" She asked with a soft voice.

"I see that you have as well. Scout's the first boytoy of yours to last this long since me, isn't he?" Lark nudged Blu as he spoke, a slight smirk crossing his face. "And thanks."


Scout could barely contain himself as he turned back to Lanx after examining each kit carefully. "Congratulations!" He purred, again rubbing himself all over the pretty, long-furred she-cat.

"Even more so now, looks like you finally settled, congrats on the little devils" The older tom yawned, sitting down and grooming his paw.

Lanx giggled softly as she watched the tom, her tail flicking softly, "They're only a few days old, so it'll be at least a week, maybe two, before they torment us" She laughed.

"Perhaps." Lark replied, regarding the pair beneath the tower for a moment.

Scout's jaw dropped when he finally noticed the fluffballs behind Lanx. "Omigosh, you had kits!?" Scout trotted closer to the pair, purring loudly out of joy for the couple. "How old? When do they open their eyes!?" He bombarded the mother with questions, his eyes bright.

Blu listened to the tom and rolled his eyes, "Yeah yeah" He huffed lightly and let out a low chuckle, watching their mates interact, "Scout cant get enough of Lanx, maybe because they're in the same boat, well, not so much anymore" Blu said as he stood and yawned, stretching out and lashing his tail.

Lanx purred when she saw her friend and smiled, "A lot better now that we're in a safer place" She said, turning her head and separating the kits when they started mewling while the pair fought.

Lark effortlessly made the jump up to the top of the cat tower just as Scout made the jump down. While Lark regarded Blu with a challenging, yet playful glare, Scout rubbed himself up against his old friend from the auctions, purring softly.

"Fate decided you'd spent enough time without me around, that's all." Lark shot back at the blue-grey tom, padding in tiny circles in the nest Blu and his mate had just been using.

"How are you, Lanx?" Came Scout's gentle purr, not noticing the kits in the box just yet.

Lanx relaxed when she realized who was there, she gave a soft purr in greeting before moving back to the kits, curling around them and relaxing.

Blu turned his head and saw the pair, "Well, well, look who finally decided to get a human" He teased and lashed his tail, snickering lightly, just messing with the tom.

Lark recognized the Russian Blue and tan tabby fur almost instantly. He was happy to see some familiar faces, and figured that if the pair had found their way here, surely it couldn't be such a terrible place to live. Naturally his rivalry with Blu burned on, but he'd find ways to get back at him for abandoning him- without involving their mates or his kits. It would just take a little time.

Scout lifted his head after a second as well, eyes flashing with recognition as he picked out Lark and Lanx. "Hey, guys!" He mewed cheerily, standing up and stretching luxuriously with intent to pad down to the pair and give them a proper greeting.

The she-cat got up and slipped out of the box, huffing lightly and watching, spotting two masses of fur and lowering her ears.

Blu grumbled and lifted his head off the ground, yawning loudly.

Lark blinked as the world was suddenly bright again, the tom having to squint for a moment before his eyes adjusted.

Scout twitched in his sleep when he felt Blu move, but didn't wake up either.

The box stopped and was opened, revealing a little room with cat toys and anything for a cat everywhere.

Blu grumbled as he heard a commotion, his tail lashing.

He waited silently for the movement to stop and for it to finally be revealed where they were, the male appreciating Lanx's efforts with a soft smile.

She sat up and tried to stay sitting whenever the box moved, she licked her mate's muzzle clean from milk, purring softly to try and comfort him.

Lark let out a protesting mewl along with his kits, though he quickly stood and joined his mate at her side, beginning to worry again after spending so long in that euphoric haze.

The she-cat purred and relaxed while they suckled, until the box was suddenly moved and she jumped up, earning protesting mewls from the kits, who had been suckling still.

this is actually… really, really nice. the tom thought, suckling and kneading effortlessly, as if in a trance. He watched his kits mirror him to his side and purred loudly, the milk tasting and feeling wonderful as it slid into his belly.

Lanx flicked her tail off and on as she laid with her mate and kits, feeling her milk flowing from her teats they were suckling from, she felt the calmness the kits and their father felt as they suckled from her together.

Lark's purrs increased in volume and intensity as he felt the milk begin to flow, Lanx's purring only adding to his bliss as he continued to suckle, his eyes closed happily.

"They'll think its cute" She purred and groomed his head like she did the kits, relaxing on her side and purring loudly, her purring soothing the kits as they nursed and she hoped it helped her mate as well.

"um… alright." Lark agreed, settling in at her lower belly to avoid crowding the kits out. "The upwalkers better not see this." He began to suckle gently, purring and kneading her belly instinctively.

"Lark, you need to calm down" She mewed softly and nuzzled him, her tail flicking,"Here, nurse with the kits, maybe it'll help calm you" She said.

"I hope." Lark mewed distractedly, still on edge. He wasn't used to relying on someone else, and in this case he was putting his trust on a member of an entirely different species. He was nervous, tk say the least.

She purred loudly and nuzzled her mate softly, her tail curling with his, "This is a good thing, the small twoleg kit drew the older one and I'm almost positive the older one is going to keep us" She mewed.

Lark sat close by his mate, glaring at their surroundings protectively as they waited to see what was next for them.
