The saberess kept her ears back as she felt the male come over to her, feeling him rub against her, she chuffed out toward the male, trying to act like she was in heat as she raised her hips more, "Kye" she cooed softly.

Kye’s claws extended and he kneaded the ground with him. Standing up slowly and purring loudly, he walked over to the female and rubbed his cheek against the length of her side.

Shade pinned her ears as she listened to him, lashing her tail lightly, standing a few strides away from him and she let out a breath, "We can make the pride so much better than it is Kye... We just need to work together" She murmured, glancing back toward him before she slowly laid down, sinking her claws into the ground and she raised her hips, positioning herself like she was in heat, waiting for the male, "Come here" She said in a soft voice, beginning to purr in an attempt to lure the male to her.

Kye frowned and flicked his tail as he sat up, “no one would stop you” he told her, he didn’t want to lead any more than she did, the position had its benefits but he wouldn’t wish it on anyone who didn’t want it.

She pinned her ears as he spoke and she groaned, "You don't get it" She hissed, "Kye, we can't be dictators but they need to be able to trust us" She said, standing to walk to the entrance of the den, "Honestly, I would leave if I didn't have responsibility in the pride" She said flatly before walking out of the den.

Kye grumbled, “it doesn’t matter what they think of your reputation. We will provide them with leadership and food. If they don’t want that, they’re free to leave.”

Shade looked to the male and she sighed loudly, "Kye, you're the leader's son, you should be taking this more seriously than me" She told him, beginning to groom herself, "You and I will be leading a fairly large pride one day, I don't know if they'll trust us on my reputation alone" She said as she turned to him.

Kye grinned, “and yet your still here kitty” he purred, he laid down next to her, but didn’t crowd her, stretching out and flexing his claws.

"It's annoying" She said as she moved to lay down in her usual place, stretching and she purred softly.

“I maintain you like it” he grinned and rubbed against her, flopping down when they arrived.

The saberess rolled her eyes lightly before she rose and began leading the male back toward the dens, "You're a pain" She claimed.

Kye chuckled and moved forward, “lead the way”he purred.

"Like I said, one of us has to" She said, rising and she stretched, "Do I need to drag you back to the dens or do you intend on coming willingly?" She asked him lightly.

“That won’t change”he commented, “stop taking everything so seriously”

"Because unfortunately one of us will have to take leadership seriously, and I doubt you will" she said, leaning into him slightly before she pawed at him when he laid down, "The pride respects me, I'd like to keep it that way" She claimed.

She grumbled as she sat, huffing and nuzzling her lovingly, he rolled onto his back and swiped at her playfully—“I don’t care what they think, why do you?”

Shade frowned as she watched before she gave a grunt, sending the females away, she watched the male and rolled her eyes, "What am I going to do with you" She sighed to herself, "You know how this makes things look" She frowned as she sat in the water.

The females became skittish when Shade arrived, the female who had been crouching pressed her ears had and let out a fearful hiss as she scrambled to bow her head. Upon seeing this movement Kye became disinterested in the female for her actions showed weakness. He turned to Shade and purred, rubbing his face against her side affectionately.

Shade frowned as she watched the interaction, her ears staying back, her claws flexing against the ground below her, she had enough, slinking down and she moved toward the water, bowing to drink, acting as if she didn't see them, until she spoke up, "Is this what my huntresses do when I am not looking? Play like cubs and lure males into the waters?" She frowned as she stared toward the group with a blank expression.

Kye’s ears perked with interest as the female strutted around him, the male stood abruptly, unaware at this point that he was being watched, he began to sniff the female, licking at her sides, watching as she crouched down.

Shade continued to stay back and watch, she sat and eyed her betrothed, wondering just how much he would out up with from the females, sure she could make her presence known and they would probably back down, but she didn't want her own reputation ruined by a male that accepted more mates than just her, the pride respected her as lead huntress, if something were to happen when she ultimately became leader with the male, she wouldn't exactly be pleased.

Kye dipped his face in the water, when he rose he had water dripping from his muzzle, one of the females jumped into the water, purring and rubbing up against him, he laid down in the shallow water, the female flicking her tail and stepping over him. Sniffing him and purring loudly.

Shade quietly groomed herself once she had eaten her share, her short tail twitching as she made sure she was clean, her ears twitched as she could hear the other females, as they were close to her den, though she didn't pay any mind, that was until she could faintly see Kyle's shape with them, she gave a small frown, sure they didn't nessiscarily love one another, but they were still betrothed to be mates and lead the pride, she rose up and stood on a ledge, watching the group with a frown.

Kye lounged on his rock for most of the afternoon, until the sun was long forgotten behind the rocks that protected them. The rocks made the area cold, even Kyes thick fur often struggled to keep him warm. He looked down at the rest of the pride, noticing a few of the hunters (three females) were in the water, it was big enough to enjoy a bath and swim around, which was nice on hot days. He had to wonder if they were doing this purposely, they were giggling and often looking up at him, splashing him with water. Intrigued, he stood and stretched, jumping down and females began purring and rubbing against him, seemingly brave without Shade around. Kye ignored them in favour of walking into the water.

Shade stepped back as she watched the male, it didn't shock her how he tried to do things for her, she couldn't help a quiet purr, she called the rest of the hunting party before leading everyone back, "Thank you" She said as she walked with the male. Shade made sure their leader got only the best from the carcasses before distributing meals to the rest of the pride, Shade then moved to go to her own den once she finally got her share, shifting to lay down just inside the entrance.
