Devils' Flight

While Knox had been infatuated with their child before, following the growl, the male was shocked, tense and looking to his mate in disbelief, like a child sulking to their mother, as if expecting her to do something.

"You act like you want some" She teased, keeping their son close to he could feed, the little demon seemed to sense his father's closeness and let out a small growl, clinging onto his mother in almost a possessive way, Veta rolled her eyes lightly, knowing living with two demons, two male demons, was going to be a hassle.

Knox didn’t seem to mind her teasing, the demon scooting closer for a better look.

Veta looked to her mate and she kissed his cheek softly while their son fed greedily from her breast, "You okay Knox? I've never seen you like this" She teased, cupping his cheek softly.

Knox smiled, following his mate, although it was unclear if the demon was harbouring his usual protectiveness for his mate, or if, his protectiveness had instead transferred to their child. The male sat on the bed and watched the two, seemingly enchanted by the slight, the usual hard and unemotional demon looked about to melt.

Veta managed to stand, walking to their child and she smiled, softly lifting up the newborn, holding the infant close, "Probably screamed like the world was ending" She gave a soft laugh, turning back to her mate, she looked to the baby as she heard them beginning to fuss, "Well, someone must be hungry" She cooed, moving back to the bed and she sat down, adjusting her top and she began nursing the baby, checking the infant over, "Looks like we have a boy" She cooed to her mate, looking up toward him.

Knox breathed in his mates scent, rubbing his face into her hand lovingly, “almost a day” he admitted sheepishly, looking back at their child, grinning almost from ear to ear, “a decent set of lungs on that one”

Veta jumped slightly as she looked back and saw her mate, giving a soft smile, "Hey" She said softly, cupping his cheek lightly, she brushed his hair back and softly fussed over him, fixing up his hair, "How long have I been out? How's our little one?" She asked, the female trying to lift herself off the bed.

Knox was at Veta’s side within seconds, while the demon looked rustled and restless, he had clearly hunted while his mate had been asleep, as he looked well fed (the red hues to his eyes had dulled to a black) and he was calmer but still worried about her. “Hey” he greeted, kissing her head softly.

Veta didn't wake until nearly the next morning, she had forgotten what had happened, and she got up, letting out a soft yelp as she felt a jolt of pain in her stomach, she was sitting up and holding her stomach lightly, shocked at her deflated stomach, before she hears a soft sound from the newborn infant, she jumped and looked up, staring wide eyed at the large demon infant, shocked at the size of the infant that came out of her, licking her lips lightly, her mouth dry, and she looked about for her mate.

Knox paced nervously around the cave, his now healed wings tucked into his spine, the Angel accompanying his brother had healed him (despite his protest) but Knox had promptly told them to leave them. He wasn’t sure what was more mortifying the knowledge that he was now a father, or that his mate had nearly been killed by his infant child. While his mates wounds had been tended to, he still anxiously awaited her waking up. Their child, asleep peacefully in a cot beside the bed. Clearly, much stronger than most.

Veta panted and she gave a pained whine as she was bit, gripping onto her mate's arm as tightly as her weakened self could, her eyes shutting tightly, she tried to mentally prepare herself for for pain, she had been starting to go numb from the labor, but she just couldn't prepare herself for being cut opened without any form of pain relief, she practically screamed out as she felt her stomach being cut open, the angel tried to keep herself awake, but as the infant demon was pulled from her stomach, giving loud wails, Veta couldn't keep herself conscious, she fell unconscious from stress, exhaustion, and blood loss.

Knox knew his mate was right and it killed him, he looked down at her with worry, before demanding, “close your eyes baby” he told her, leaning forward he bit into her shoulder to try and ease the pain further.

Veta winced as she tried to sit up, whining in pain, "Knox... The longer we take, the more risk, to both of us" She tried to reason with her mate, she whined out as she laid back again, gripping the ground and breathing hard, Veta panted and whined as another contraction went through her, "You have to Knox" She whined, "I can't do it Knox... I'm too tired... It hurts too much" She pleaded with her mate, hissing in pain from another contraction.

Knox was in a dangerous state; worried and angry the demon paced around his mate snarling at the other demon and angel on and off, crouching beside his mate and kissing her forehead, he was tense and he hated it. When Veta told him an hour later that he would need to cut the baby out he growled at the thought, “I’m not risking you” he growled although, he knew, that there wasn’t anything else to do. “I can help” the angel pipped up which caused Knox to roar, “you stay the fuck away from her” his pointed fangs bared.

Veta continued breathing heavily, staying pressed to her mate, gripping him tightly, she seemed to be in labor for hours with no progress, the contractions exhausting her, "K-Knox..." she whined out, she had been trying to push for the past hour but nothing had been happening, "Y-you have to... You have to get the baby out..." Veta was exhausted, breathing heavily, her voice raspy, "You need to... Cut the baby out" She whined, wincing as she tried to push again through a contraction, her grip wasn't as strong as before, the angel was just too tired.

Knox brushed his thumb over the bite, squeezing his mates hand affectionately. “It’s alright baby...”

Veta panted and whined as she gripped her mate's hand, she cried out as she tensed from his bite.

Knox looked to his mate in worry, taking her hand he worried what the venom might do but obliged his mate and leaned forward, biting her wrist deeply.

"But-" she whined as another contraction went through her, she gasped out as her water suddenly broke, her breathing quickening further, clinging onto her mate in pain, "Knox, bite me" She hissed, glaring toward her mate, "Anything to make the pain lessen" She pleaded.

Knox growled gently, "i dont want you to loose energy" he admitted softly, snarling at the demon and angel when he noticed her worry.

Veta breathed heavily and clung onto his hand as he grasped hers, wincing and she looked toward her mate, "B-but if I don't heal it-" she yelped and gave a cry from another contraction, her sides heaving as she tried to stay as close to him as she could, breathing heavily through her nose, scared of the other demon and even the angel, she didn't like them so close.

Knox's eyes narrowed when she saw her mate shake her head, that was good enough for Knox, he carried her forward and set her down softly on the grass near the river. He caught her hand, when she tried to heal him, "don't baby" he told her.

Veta nearly collapsed into her mate's arms as another contraction surged through her, she whined in pain and clung tightly onto her mate, her grip only tightening whenever a contraction hit, Knox..." she whined out quietly, flinching as she heard the other demon offer to take her, she shook her head, trembling heavily in pain and fear, gasping out as a large painful contraction wrecked through her, she panted and whimpered as she tried to reach forward to heal her mate's wing, yelping and giving a pained cry as a contraction hit again, the contractions getting close quickly, too quickly.

The two demons fell toward the ground, with Knox being the only one to land on his feet, he strode over to his mate, snarling at the other angel who stumbled to get out of the way, Veta's scent smelled different and he'd noticed her worry. He'd deal with this demon later, now, he wanted to get Veta back home. Knox spread his wings, and winced, one of them was clearly broken. Knox snarled angrily, his eyes glowing red, as the other demon stood, noticing the issue the demon spread his wings, "let me take her" he stepped forward offering his arms. Knox snarled narrowing his eyes. "I will not hurt her Brother."
