The Stolen Troop

She whimpered as she pressed close, hearing Chaka whimper, the infant feeling his mother's distress.

Taka reached out to hold her, "don't try and move" he told her, "they'll see you" he informed her, "just stay still"

"They cant find us" She whimpered, survival instincts kicking in to keep her baby safe, "What if they take him?" She whined to her mate, trying anywhere she could find as a hiding spot.

Taka followed his mate, suddenly worried at her expression, "whats wrong" he demanded, sheltering his mate's body with his own.

Vera stood, holding onto Chaka as she tried to find somewhere to hide, she didn't want to take her baby to the cages, scared he would be taken, she looked stressed and panicked as she was trying to hurry to a spot while the rest of the troop was going inside.

Taka frowned, hearing the gates he looked out at all the Gorillas heading toward the tunnels, he huffed and looked back at his mate, hoping they could wait until the end, then venture into the tunnels together.

She nuzzled her mate softly, gently stroking Chaka, turning her head and letting out a whimper as she heard the gates opening, humans chasing the troop back inside.

Taka wrapped his arm around his mate protectively, being overly careful of the tiny baby between them.

She leaned into her mate and smiled, nuzzling him and holding Chaka between them to keep him warm.

Taka smiled at the name, moving his head down to gently rest it on her shoulder, "i love it" he told her.

Vera cradled the newborn, pressing close to her mate, having to help the tiny infant latch onto her again to nurse, hoping he would become stronger and survive, "Chaka" She said softly, nuzzling the infant softly, glancing in her mate's direction, hoping he would like the name she chose.

Taka looked over his mate at their baby, reaching out to gently run a finger over the small gorilla with a frown.

Vera held their newborn close, listening closely to his breaths, letting out a small whimper.

Taka held her close, running his hand over her body lovingly.

She whimpered as she looked in his direction, letting out a shaking breath.

“We won’t” Taka tried to assure for her benefit knowing he couldn’t promise her that.

She nuzzled close to her mate, feeling their weak newborn trying to cling to her, "What if... What if we lose him...?" She whimpered, shaking heavily.

“Then he’ll have to get it done other way” Taka snorted, reaching out to run a finger over their baby.

She nuzzled close and She kept their baby between them, "What if it's revenge..?" She asked quietly.

Taka didn't have to guess why, "he still wants you" he snorted angrily, holding her gently, "i'm sorry for leaving you alone."

Vera had to help the newborn latch on to her nipple to nurse, stroking the newborn gently to create a picture of him in her mind, pressing back against her mate, "He wanted to hurt him..." She whimpered, "Tovak... He wanted him gone.." The female whined, unable to stop herself from crying.

Taka continued to hold her as she delivered, looking as surprised as his mate to see the baby alive - but premature. Even so, Taka couldn't help the chuckle he gave at the news of the gender.

It only took a few more pushes before Vera had delivered a tiny baby, almost too small, she cleaned the little baby, shocked that she heard weak whimpers from it, she checked the newborn over before letting him nurse, "A boy" She said quietly to her mate, her breathing heavy.

Taka frowned as the realisation hit him, that it had been Tovak, he gave a light growl but could do nothing but hold his mate and help her through this.

"B-but too... Too soon" She whined as she pushed, thr female practically howling in pain as she gripped onto her mate, breathing heavily.
