Mane Attraction [Ash]

Violet followed the male, rubbing against him before laying beside him, their cub hesitantly following.

Casper purred and playfully bounded off away from his mate.

Kye stood a step back, not wanting his company to become a nuisance to the female, aware she was probably still afraid of what he'd done, he laid down inside the cave but far enough away for violet not to become crowded.

Bruno nuzzled his mate in response lovingly.

Casper purred as he nuzzled close to his mate.

Violet purred softly and nuzzled the male, letting out a small breath, "There's always next time.." She murmured, admitting that she would most likely let him stick around while she was in heat next.

Bruno groomed his mate lovingly, before nipping his ears playfully.

Kye nodded gently moving over to her, nuzzling her gently, pressing his much larger head to hers.

Casper purred as he stretched out under his mate, purring and chuffing out loudly.

Violet sighed as she turned her head, watching Naga creep out of the den, the cub rushing to her mother and hiding under her, "They others... Got sick.. Humans took them.. Two passed in my paws.. I couldn't do anything.." She whined, hanging her head, "They only brought Naga back... I can only assume her brother passed as well" She whimpered.

Bruno purred, nuzzling his mate gently, beginning to knead Casper's body.


Kye touched her with his head gently, "you have nothing to be sorry about" he informed her, suddenly looking to the side to see the last remaining cub, "what happened"he demanded, stepping forward curiously.

Casper purred as he groomed his mate, purring and he nibbled at his mane.

Violet backed off lightly, her ears back, she listened to the male and she let out a breath, "Kye... I don't know what to say... I got scared... Especially with a cub to take care of... I haven't had good history with males.." She sighed, sitting, her ears pinning, when he had glanced at the cubs after they were born, there had been four, but only Naga the oldest survived.

Bruno chuckled, beginning to groom his mate gently.

Kye gave a sheepish smile when Violet ran into him, he couldn't help himself purring lightly and pushing his head down to nuzzle her, "i'm so sorry...i'm so so sorry.."

Casper purred and rolled over, looking up toward his mate, licking at his chin softly.

Violet tried to chase the intruding male away, growling as she ran into Kye, looking up toward the male, her ears pinning lightly.

Bruno purred at his mate, "maybe" he allowed, suddenly jumping on his mate playfully.

Kye snarled from outside the cave, unwilling to enter the cave however, afraid the male would cause harm to Violet in his effort to escape. As expected the male eventually tried to slip past Kye (who allowed him to do so). Kye snarled as the male disappeared, turning to face Violet.

Casper turned and groomed his mate softly, "Maybe being away settled him.." He murmured softly.

Violet snarled, swiping at the male, "Go away" She hissed, not liking the stranger in her den for one, but she had a cub to protect, the little cub hiding behind her mother.

Kye listened to his brother's mate with a sigh, nodding, "alright" he told Casper, slowly standing up and stretching, his tail flicking. Kye yawned as he moved toward the den, chuffing lowly to warn the female of his presence. However, the large male stopped when he smelt the other male around the den, giving a light roar to warn the other male away.

Jupiter wondered into the cave, purring at the sight of the female, he started to approach her slowly. However, looking around skittishly.

Casper sighed as he watched the other, "Look, a lot has happened to her and I while at other places, aggressive males nearly killed her for no reason, her first mate was killed by those males, the stress made her lose her cubs, I promised her mate as he died I would protect her... It may not make sense or be right in your mind, but she'll appreciate it if you apologise to her, hell, she may take you back on the spot" He spoke calmly to the larger male, his tail flicking.

Violet flinched as she heard the chuff from outside her den, turning and she stood between the male and her cub, snarling protectively, baring her long fangs and pinning her ears.

Kye raised an eyebrow, he didn't think it was fair that he should have to apologise. Violet hadn't shut him out because he had attacked her, or attacked the cubs, she'd shut him out on information from his brother, Kye didn't think that he should need to apologise for her lack of trust in him, he'd had a few months to reflect on it. Annoyed that she'd shut him out so quickly without even asking him what had happened himself, for all she knew, his brother could have been making it all up. Moreover, just because he had made a mistake in his past, lost his temper at the wrong moment, shouldn't mean he had to apologise for it now. Kye had long ago but his past behind him, it wasn't fair that others brought it back up and shoved it in his face.

Jupiter approached the cave cautiously, giving a light call and suddenly walking inside.

Casper flicked an ear and let out a breath, "No hard feelings... For now at least... I'm not the one you should apologise to" The dwarf male murmured, flicking his ear and glancing toward where his sister's den was.

Violet played with Naga inside the den, purring softly and smiling as she played with the cub, the small female bounding about the den and growling at her mother.

Kye looked over to Casper with a frown, "I know its not much, but i'm sorry for attacking you like i did" Kye told Casper, giving his brother a slight nod.

Jupiter had made his way about the enclosure, marking the trees and fences with his own scent, the large male however, soon found an unfamiliar scent, heading toward the den with low chuffs.

Upon spotting Kye, Violet longed to see her mate again, but as she remembered the suckling cub at her belly, she frowned and hid herself and Naga, keeping the cub hidden in the den.

Casper was hesitant to approach Kye, walking up and he rubbed against Bruno before curling up between his paws.

Kye eventually heard the male but made no move to confront him just yet. Instead, Kye found his brother. Bruno sat up as well at his mate's call, frowning and twisting his ears around to try and locate Kye who was definitely heading in his direction, eventually spotting the large lion, who seemed to have grown over his months away. Kye approached Bruno slowly but didn't seem aggressive, the large males seeming to come to a soft truce, moving toward each other and lowering their heads together. Kye laid down near his brother, the large male was a little less brute-like than he had been when he'd first met the pair, but unlike earlier, Kye wasn't paying attention to Violet or their cub, unwilling to be dismissed again.

Jupiter was toward the back of the enclosure, the young adult rubbing against trees, scent marking everything that still smelt heavily of Kye.

Violet had kept away from the new male after smelling him, only one of her cubs had survived, a female identical to her father, she named her Naga, the lioness laid outside her den, Naga swatting at and pouncing on her tail, the cub in the process of being weaned, when the cub felt like it, she cuddled up to her mother's stomach and began nursing.

Casper gave his sister her privacy, but when a new male was introduced, he became protective of his sister again, staying where he could see her constantly, the dwarf male sighing as he laid on a rock, his tail lashing, his ears perked before pinning as he heard familiar chuffing, "Shit..." He murmured and gave a call to his mate, sitting up.

It was several months later when Kye was tunneled back into the large main enclosure, the male chuffing heavily, his tail lashing. Over the months in solitary the male had become slightly cold - while the keepers knew this, they also knew the female would begin a knee heat cycle eventually. The keepers also had’nt had a choice but to send another male into the enclosure, restrictions demanding that they have enough lions per capital in accordance with the size of the enclousure, which in terms of size was much too large for just the three lions. The two males hadn’t get seen each other, but the new male, Jupiter was heading toward the foot at the front of the enclosure, chuffing.

Casper nuzzled him and smiled softly.

Bruno chuckled and pushed his head lovingly into his mate's side, growling lowly.

He let out a breath as he laid there, nuzzling his mate and quietly purring.

Bruno sat up with a purr, rubbing against his mate trying to lighten the mood, "the keepers took Kye out, she's as safe as she can be."

He sat and sighed, his ears drooped, "I'm just worried... I promised I would keep her safe" He murmured quietly.
