We’re On An Adventure (Stormwind)

Newton didn’t even shift as Lady laid beside him, essentially out cold after going at least a full two days without sleep, and maybe more.

Lady curled up in the nest beside him, not wanting to be alone in the cold and surrounded by strangers.

Sleepily, Newton stumbled over to the nests, glancing thankfully to Lady for her help. When they reached the nests the young tom flopped over into one gratefully, even though it was only half constructed, and almost as soon as his body hit the nest he was asleep.

Lady pressed against Newton’s side, helping him up and letting him lean on her.

“It looks like they’re building nests for you by the to-bes,” Mewed Stormfur. “That would be a bit more comfortable than the cave floor.”

Newton flicked his ears to show he registered what the tom said, but he was so exhausted it was up in the air wether or not he’d be able to stand up.

Lady turned to look at Newton and immediately frowned.

(Now that they know the way, leaf-bare is what will take them so long >)

STORMFUR dipped his head to the young she-cat. “You two should get some rest before you continue on, though. Your friend looks like he’s about to fall asleep on his paws.”

Indeed, Newton was starting to nod off beside Lady, his head hanging to one side and his eyes narrowed to minuscule slits.

Lady beamed at the tom, her smile brilliant like the sun. “Thank you!”

Newton glanced to Lady questioningly as she blabbed on. He’d never heard The she-cat get like that before.

Rainstorm nodded, purring quietly at the young cat’s excitement. “It’s through this mountain pass, and then you just follow the slope of the land. If you’re heading down, you’re going the right way.”

Lady bounced a little, excitedly. “Could you show us? Or, well, tell us, I mean. Obviously you don’t want to leave, not with this being your home.” She realized she was babbling and shut her mouth quickly, a little bewildered. She’d never babbled before.

Rainstorm nodded eagerly. “I was on the journey that discovered their new home.”

“Do you know where the Clans are?” Lady asked anxiously.

“Not usually.” Replied Stormfur with a grunt. “There were some special circumstances involved there.” The tom turned to glance over by the waterfall. “And now, I live here. The clans came through this mountain pass and the Tribe assisted them. I stayed behind.” The tom smiled warmly, as if catching sight of a special cat.

Lady blinked in surprise. “You can do that?”

Stormfur nodded. “Two of them, actually. I was born in Riverclan But was briefly a Thunderclan cat as well.”

Newton’s nose wrinkled slightly. he likes the water!?

Lady’s eyes widened. “You lived in one of the Clans?”

“My name is Stormfur.” Mewed The tom in a deep voice. “I live with the Tribe now. But, before that, I was a warrior.”

Lady hesitantly sat down too, blinking at the tom in bewilderment.

The long-furred dark gray tom who joined them was filled in by Stoneteller, who padded off as Stormfur settled down in front of the pair of younger cats, laying down comfortably.

Newton sat down, his tail twitching with nervous excitement.

Lady turned to look at Stormfur curiously.

“Stormfur!” Called Stoneteller, getting the attention of another tom across the cave, who began padding towards them with his ears perked attentively.

That sounds like a clan name! Newton thought excitedly.

Lady blinked in confusion.

Stoneteller glanced thoughtfully around the cave. “...I think I might have somebody You’ll want to talk to, young ones.”

Newton pinned his ears back a little, a comical frown on his muzzle. why’s he calling us young? We got all the way here by ourselves and that makes us wiser than some adults!

Lady nodded, perking up a little at their mention, as she always did. “My grandmother used to tell me stories about them. She had both a brother and a son that lived in ThunderClan.”

Stoneteller’s ears perked with interest. “The clans?”
