Backpacking Adventure (Stormwind)

"I know you wont Oli... You've been my best friend for years.. My knight in shining armor.. My hero" She smiled softly.

“I’m glad you’re doing so well,” Replied Oliver earnestly.  He listened carefully to what she said she had worried about, rubbing her hand with his thumbs as he held it and she spoke.  When she was finished, he brought the vixen’s hand to his mouth and kissed it gently before letting it back down.  “I won’t hurt you like that.  And I won’t let anyone else do it, either.  Never again.”

Annie held his hands and she smiled, stroking his hands softly with her thumbs, "I've never been this happy Oli..." She admitted quietly, her ears drooping softly, "I was scared the same thing would happen if I left... I'd meet some guy and history would repeat itself' She gave a soft sigh.

Oliver smiled back, reaching across the table to grasp Annie’s hands in his. The bobcat couldn’t believe how quickly their relationship had blossomed since they left home. Maybe it had to do with her being away from the people that put her down, the people that had scarred her. Whatever the cause, the man was happy to see her so happy.

The vixen sat across from her boyfriend, watched the shepherd before giving a small nod in return, her way of saying she saw, she looked to her boyfriend and gave a smile.

Oliver took a seat at one of the two small tables, the only furniture in the place besides the bar and several barstools. A German Shepherd working at the bar noticed them and gave Annie a quick nod, going back to whatever he was doing after acknowledging the pair had come in.

"I'm okay" She said softly as she walked with him, looking around, settling down some as they were inside.

Oliver gave Annie’s hand a reassuring squeeze as he lead them inside the small bar, which was mostly occupied by other travelers.

Annie gave a soft breath as she walked with him, her tails curled around herself lightly to keep out of the way, worried she'd get them stepped on.

Oliver lead Annie through the cobbled streets at a slower pace than he usually would, worried for her.

Annie stayed close to her boyfriend, holding onto his hand and following him, a bit nervous around stranger men, but with Oliver there she felt safe.

Oliver squeezed her hand before heading out the door. Sure enough, there was no food to be had downstairs, but the owner was able to point them towards a small bar that would probably be serving food- if they asked the barkeeper’s wife nicely enough.

Annie smiled back as she walked to him, carrying her own bags and she softly took his hand in hers, though gave another yawn, clearly still tired.

By the time Annie was finished dressing, Oliver was already fully clothed and packed up, standing by the door. He smiled back at the vixen when she glanced over his way.

Annie yawned as she slowly got dressed, stretching and looking to her boyfriend.

Oliver nodded, walking over to his bag and replying as he bent over to pick out some clothes. “Sure, we can get something from somewhere. If the owners aren’t making food yet then we’ll find a pub or something.”

Annie stretched out and she stood, yawning and rubbing her face softly, "Maybe something to eat before we go?" She asked him.

Oliver seemed unconvinced, worried about the vixen, but didn’t press her. Instead, he stood up, stretching his arms and back as he stood at the side of the bed naked.

"Yeah, I'm okay" She said and gave him a tired smile.

Oliver sat up when Annie did. “You alright?” Asked the bobcat, concerned by her pinned-back ears and her sudden movement.

Annie stayed cuddled up to her boyfriend, sleeping for about an hour and a half before she slowly woke and groggily sat up, her ears drooped.

The bobcat gratefully held the vixen tight as she fell asleep in his arms, settling in to wait out Annie’s nap.

Annie cuddled up to him and she smiled, resting her head against his chest, unable to resist thw urge to sleep.

Oliver nodded as much as he could with his head against the soft pillow behind him. “Sounds good to me,” he replied simply. He wasn’t exactly tired, but he didn’t mind the change to snuggle with Annie for an hour or two in the least bit.

"How about after a nap, we continue on?" She asked softly.
