It's a Getaway Resort For a Reason [Storm]

"I cant believe I was so stupid... How could I have let that happen.." She mumbled to herself, her ears drooped, sniffling and whimpering.

Alex hugged her close, unsure of what else to do to comfort the poor cheetah besides stroke her back with his hands and snuggle her.

Zora cuddled up to him, keeping her face hidden in his chest, sniffling softly and whimpering, she almost didn't even realize she was stroking her flat stomach.

Alex had already guessed that by this point, but he still wrapped his arms tightly around Zora and hugged her as they sat on the bed together. Then, he goaded her to lie down, using his arm to gently lower her to the bed along with him. He wrapped both arms around the cheetah’s waist, snuggling her close to him.

Zora curled up within his lap, clinging to him and whimpering, hiding her face in his chest, "They gave me a general conception date... It was yours..." She sniffled, the cheetah completely broken at that point.

Alex saw how much Zora was shaking and leaning on him and quickly led the cheetah over to his bed, sitting on the side of it with her and hugging her comfortingly.

Zora clung onto him and whined, shaking heavily, "T-they waited until I was leaving to tell me..." She whimpered.

Alex didn’t speak, just continued to hug the poor cheetah.

Zora clung onto him, sobbing into his chest, whining loudly.

Alex felt his heart sink, giving Zora another hug as the poor woman sobbed into him.

She sighed as she pressed close, hiding her face in his chest, "Something else happened too.." She said quietly, whimpering and looking up toward him, tears in her eyes, "Alex I... I..." She bit her lip before letting out a sob, "Alex I miscarried..." She clung onto him, her shoulders trembling.

“I don’t think that’s true, Zora,” Replied Alex, giving her muzzle a quick kiss. “People get hurt while skiing all the time.”

"But what if it gets out that the owner of the resort was injured? No one will come here anymore" She whimpered, her shoulders quivering.

“It could have happened to anybody, love.” Alex Replied in a hushed tone, just hugging the cheetah and letting her do what she needed to feel a little better.

"I feel like such an idiot for letting that happen" She sniffled and whimpered, her ears back, refusing to let him go, her fur fluffed up lightly.

Alex held her close, his ears pinned back. Obviously he was relieved to see Zora again, especially in good enough condition to walk on her own, but he also wondered what had happened to the cheetah, and what the long term repercussions would turn out to be.

Zora clung onto him, trembling softly and she hid her face in his chest, sniffling softly, her ears back, "Alex..." Zora murmured quietly, continuing to cling onto him, her voice sounding raspy and broken as she refused to let him go.

As his door opened, Alex looked up from his phone, surprised. He quickly jumped out of bed when he saw the cheetah and ran across his room to her. “Zora!” He greeted the cheetah with concern, giving her a very, very gentle hug.

Zora whined as she didn't feel him close anymore, she winced as she was carried down the slope, once down she was taken right to a waiting helicopter, Zora was airlifted to the hospital. The cheetah had been gone for a couple days before one of her assistants brought her back to the resort, the female was limping but could walk, her clothing hid it but her entire upper and lower torso was heavily bandaged, the cheetah went straight for Alex's room, the cheetah clearly was in pain as her pain meds were warring off and she looked exhausted.

The stretcher team finally arrived and secured Zora, starting to head back down the mountain as Alex followed close behind on his own skis.

Zora whimpered as she tried to press close to him, her breaths almost wet sounding, she coughed again, blood dripping down from the corners of her mouth.

“Shit,” Alex growled under his breath as Zora’s cough sprayed blood, tending to her as best he could with what he had on him while the stretched team made its way up the mountain to them.

The cheetah winced as she was moved, whining as she tried to press close to the male, her ears back and she coughed lightly, air starting to return to her lungs, but as she coughed, blood expelled from her mouth, meaning some form of internal injury or bleeding, Zora was trembling from the shock as she tried to curl up against her lover, clinging onto him with weak hands.

“We need to get you some help,” Alex huffed, leaning over and managing to pick Zora up with a little effort. Despite her seeming mostly ok, there was a possibility something internally was hurt, and the skier’s training made it sic that he had no intention of taking risks. He used the radio he kept with him to ask for a stretcher, and then sat her up, taking some snow and holding it against her head gash.

A moan of pain came from the cheetah as she heard her name, slowly coming to after hitting the tree at such a high speed, she coughed as the snow was removed off her and she winced, blood soaking into her fur from a small cut on her head and a bloody nose, those seemed to be the only injuries out in the open currently.
